Its good to see how there are different reactions to breastfeeding because for me the cramps were a relief. The pain I had was from breastfeeding itself. My son latched on really good but boy when the suction got going, I felt like I could jump through the roof from the pain of it :s. Fortunately that cleared up after (only ^^) two months, after that it was a breeze :D

Sure you can pump a few bottles at home, but that doesn't take care of the engorgement issue. I tried what you said when I was new to breastfeeding, and quickly found out that there are times when it's neccessary to breastfed in public. Although, to be honest, Freud (yeah, I know, clichéd) had observations on the concept of attraction to breasts as a benchmark for fertility/nurturing. He put a lot of weight behind the whole 'mother' design, though that may have been largely based on his own relationships, who knows.

Most towns don't have a lactation specialist (which you need). Boys will masturbate to a Sears catalog if they're horny enough. It's beyond our control. Some women may actually orgasm from breast feeding either an adult partner or a child. Many of them feel so guilty because of what society has twisted this into that they will actually abandon breastfeeding altogether.
