The planet they found in epp 10 of season 4 was Earth. The planet they found in the last epp, was just another planet, that Adama named Earth.

The only time that we see North America is at the end of Season 3 if I recall correctly, when it zooms out from the fleet and back in on Earth. That doesn't mean that they were showing the original Earth in that scene.

Yes that was pretty much the way it happened. Nobody noticed tat in this episode we did not see any continents.

Eventually they found a ne home and Adama called it earth. Hera was the ancestor to modern day humans

but st the end when baltar and no 6 are walking around earth today they are reading over some guys shoulder about a man , woman and child skeletons found and believed to be mitochondrial eve, so she never got a chance to reproduce!!!!

Question, regarding destroyed-earth on the new bsg. The destroyed earth is originally a colony of Cylons, the first ones (Not the exact copies like No. 1s etc.) who can procreate and left Kobol 3,000 years earlier. They landed their create their own versions of robots and killed themselves.
