I recently had the same thing happen to my mustang as shown in one of your cars at about 3:27. I replaced my battery and alternator but that wasn't it. My car would start and then wouldn't start. Come to find out, it was my aftermarket car alarm.

I love the interior on the xterras and fj cruisers but id have to say the best is on the jeep in this vid. I just like it simple, no ipod conections and all that crap. I wish jeep or ford would bring back a full metal dash again, ive always liked the look of a painted bronco interior to match the outside. Looks sweet on the old chevy pickups interior aswell. Call me old school but im tierd of every year they make a car they increase the amount of plastics lol even under the hood.

The interior illumination is so awesome to watch, that mercury villager had a very interesting dash on it. I've also never seen a car with rotating headlights, that was pretty interesting.

All those dead batteries are reminding me of my physics homework lol. The last chapter dealt with electric fields and one of the problems was calculating the speed of an electron between the car battery and the starter motor lol (of course we assumed the battery was fully charged)

If its piston slap, use a thicker oil, it gets rid of it in the 3400 engine, IDK about the aveo

The radio code may mean that it had an aftermarket radio. We had a 2000 Pontiac Montana with THEFTLOCK t was made so if the radio was stolen it wouldn't work in another car...or once put back in the original

no standard radios have a theft protection on it. my 98 integra has a stock radio and every time i disconnect the battery i have to put a code into the radio.

That Aveo sounds nasty!!!! Definitely the Tappets knocking. It should be fixable if you do the valve clearances. Bet it's had a hard life....

Stick the batteries on one of them intelligent battery chargers. It'll rescue and save you money on replacing them. I'd start the cars first too, before switching the lights on. Sometimes the battery will have just enough juice in it to start but the lights will take that away.

Good video though. American cars are miles better than our English ones.

Sounds like that Aveo has some valve tap... It's not piston slap, you would know if it was piston slap because the car would run much rougher.

Sounds like your front brake pads are low or down to the metal backing. Have a look on the inside of the rim for metal shavings which are from the rotors being eaten by the pads.

Will need new rotors as well as pads if they're worn.

Sometimes you can be lucky and the noise is coming from a ''wear'' indicator (a metal tab) scraping on the rotors instead of the backing.

Don't like those white face guages on the Chryslers. If you turn on your headlights during daytime the numbers disappear.
