I have just purchased this produt.

Does this item have an undergravel filter? as i want to use sand & i understand i cannot use sand with an undergravel filter.

@jedi02uk : the aquarium uses a power head on each side that is hidden. We do not recommend using too fine of a sand. If you look, you will notice that the power heads are not located directly in the aquarium, so as long as you are careful, you should be ok. However, sand also adds more buffers to fresh water, so we recommend fine gravel or "aquarium clay" for live plants. Hope this helps.
