Do you think this Macbook is still good today? I want a 15" but the 2011 models are too expensive and i saw this model for £800 brand new. I dont want a 13" as it would be too small for my architecture work.

@33647alexpoker they dont give discounts unless your in university. I also got an air and wanted the discount but not for high school either. Just a heads up, get the 4 gb ram. That will make your computer much faster. Its worth the 100. However, the air is faster then the pro today but in a year it will be slower. Choose wisely although i dont regret it at all

Look at battery life, weight, etc. Look at the entire experience you'll have with each. I've been a life-long PC user. Up until last year, I thought Macs were a waste. But now, after going down to BestBuy and actually using one, I can't get enough of it. It's hard to describe, but after using a Mac, my HP dv6700 can never compare.
