how many bedrooms is this? 2? great idea - pre-fab is the future of building. they need to release a price for this model so they can drum up interest!
My first Question is this is all great but is it Zombie Proof?
Second any of that green crap is total BS. Whom are we leaving the earth to? The massive Red Giant Star that will become our sun and destroy this planet like melting a ice cube? Its so laughable.
@angurisloud I have seen hundreds of container houses from several continents in the past several years, by far this is the architecture of a very talented designer, who uses the boring container to make them to play among each other. It is an excellent design. A lot of thought given to it before building it . Congratulations. George Wu, AIA 2012-1-23
What type of containers are those? They resemble conex types, but the have the corner blocks in a different pattern. How do these compare in size and construction to conex?
@killdozer42 I am sure ,nobody will tell you, how much does it cost, but i can guess like this, 8 container cost ca fourty thousands dollars, the rest , place, labour furniture 50 thousand all together hundred thousand , this is just an idea, incase you come to know the cost some time tell me also thnx.
@smasci Why don't you speak for yourself? I plan to build a container home in the US, and since I'll be doing most of the labor myself, it WILL take 6 months. But you must be a union member.
@soco13466 I'm not a union member. I am just referring to all the unions and government red tape you have to go through to build something like this. I watched my wife's restaurant go over by about 8 months due to red tape...
@StSimonMartyr I have belonged to unions. One job was with a company with the UAW, and it was the lowest paying workplace in a large industrial park. All it was good for was collecting dues, and making sure that, in the skilled trades, productivity among them was the lowest I've ever seen. The union officers for the unions I belonged to were grey, miserable souls. They hated the companies and did everything they could to denigrate them. Sorry. You fail.
@StSimonMartyr I have only worked in 2 union shops - never again. The most miserable worker's attitudes, low quality work and all around just a bunch of disgruntled bitter people. There may have been a time when they were needed, but now they are a drain on the country.

its not a container house - It is pre fab or modular construction.

This is not an attractive building - the Australians generally have a great modern design sense, but this one misses the mark by a huge distance.

I love it! Do you know how much it cost? How does it compare to the cost of building a similar sized home by conventional means?
FatJan 2 months ago
Sounds simple but not simply built....They need all kinds of equipment to do the job

The paperwork for this building probably took longer than its construction.

Unions have some of the most productive workers anywhere in the world.
If you like and value weekends, Child Labor laws, 40 hr work weeks, Job safety regs, Overtime, minimum wage, thank the Unins and Catholic Church.
Zios seek to seize the pensions and why Unions are demonized, and Unions have some bad eggs in mgt, but do not demonize Unions.
Nothing is more Union that the United States of America, a Union of States. Use your head and think before posting.

GM & Ford were the 2 Largest employers in USA into the 1960s.
They-Unions had been around SINCE the 1930s & building the Best cars in the world then.
Ownership by Zio shareholders moved jobs Overseas when reporting RECORD Profits.
Inflation via Jew debt money is destroying the job base, NOT the US/Union worker.
Productivity by German auto workers, who Are Union, is the worlds highest, they are paid twice their US Counterparts. Average $68/hr.
Unions arent the issue, Mgt & Debt Money IS.

Then you can blame the Union mgt for its hires.
Much of it went to Hell with Anti Discrimination Laws after Ww2 and into the 1960/70s, thats when it all went to hell.
Negroes got hired on, by law, and Jews took over the Unions.
We see it today with affirmative action and favoritism of minorities (Tax code) over other better qualified candidates (white Males) in every venue.
Unions are all we have protecting Jobs in America, soon enough they will all go to China, Indonesia, Korea.
