850 was a great car in parts. In was turn in this, into Nasca C2, engine went into McLaren F1 after porting to 6+L, but the car itself was not popular at all, compared to SL500. Weird. Isnt it?

because the car itself is a piece of garbage that is why. it was 6 cylinder's put together to make 12. yet it cost over $100,000 brand new. and when going the top speed 180+mph, it became to shake and vibrate like a honda. it only looks fantastic, everything else is more garbage than VW jetta.

Wow i Didnt know that. I am a BMW Freak you know. and grew up in russia. Looks Like 21st Volga Coupe. with The BMW ///M Devision Build Motor , wich you can Find in Mclaren F1 (Same Block) BMW used that Engine in theyr 850 CSI production year 1994-1995 . It was the Only car that Made v12 with 6spd in that year

I'll take that old frumpy Volga M-21 any day! The M-21 would make an awesome sleeper.  Make it look stock and dumpy on the outside but under the hood would be a high-performance Chevy 350 w/ TH-400 transmission.

Wow, I remember when the wall came down and western cars became available in Russia and it's satelites, the local car manufactures came up with all sorts of hybrid solutions to staying in business, usually envolving shoehorning western engines into their existing cars, like a VW powered Trabant etc. Guess this is one of them.

That's a GAZ-21 Volga(coupe), made in 1950s/60s, it had bulletproof engine, 3sp manual tranny, leaf suspncn. & I've seen 4dr of those loaded with 2500LB fruit/vegtbl in markets. Not even a latest Ford F350 could be used for such way about 20 years... Soviet cars were built with one purpose: Strenth & battlefield

This is just a collection of pictures available on the internet put together into video form, I don't think Saklica actually owns one. He certainly didn't build it, they're based on the Volga Gaz-21 and made by a Moscow based company called A:Level although their web site appears to be down. Not sure if they're still being made as I believe these photos are several years old.
