@nosorog91 : it's actually an 'upside down' e, or "schwa", which is a symbol used in phonetcs (in the IPA or International Phonetic Alphabet). It indicates this is the hindi "short a" sound, like in the english words machine or ago... you will sometimes see these words transcribed as banaanaa and karnaa, i.e.banaanaa has two long 'a's (written in devanagari script as a single downstroke), and one short "uh" sound. hope this clarifies things!
Your are awesome. I have tried learning Hindi for over a year now using CDs and book. I have learned more in one day from your first 9 videos. Please do continue. I want to teach my daughter Hindi as well and your videos are fantastic learning and teaching tools.
I am going to use this song for my next video: Kal ho Na ho (title song, happy version), starring Shahrukh Khan, Saif & Preity. But for that I need to download the video. Please tell me where I can download it.
Keep up the good work. One problem I have is sometimes working out what part of the image your saying, you might want to say the English word or write it down beside the other words.
Bahut Shukriya...
It is all so clear and perfectly paced + your voice and delivery is easy on the ear....
Thank you

Good job, keep it on.
I still don't understand why 'a' turns 'e' in 'bAnana' and 'kArna' . It is not what i know from my hindi teaching book

Hurry up! Choose your favorite Bollywood song and tell me here itself, so that the next video would be learning Hindi through a Bollywood song.
