Vertu customers don't care about extra phone features mainly because most of them are useless.
An example for useless advanced features would be
watching TV on my 3g phone. What's the point when I can watch with a flat-screen TV or wait a few min tell I get home to watch? Have you guys tried watching TV on any phone? It's horrible in so many ways!
When was the last time you saw someone watch a video on their video ipod? Pfff. I only watched 3 vids on mine till I realized it was stupid.
You guys are right. Why would someone drop an expensive phone like that even if it wouldn't get a scratch? Heck even in this demo the guy carefully places the Vertu on the slate at the end of the test - wouldn't he just throw it on there if it was that strong.. no he is placing it carefully because it's expensive!
If you forgot to take the Vertu out of your jacket before jumping from a skyscraper, don't worry, your descendants will still be able to youse your phone!
ridiculous test. Funny how they drop the 'normal' phone at an angle to pop out the battery to 'show off' the vertu's strength. Dont get me wrong, Its probably strong but this commercial is just what it is - a commercial. it is NOt a scientific test at all. When the floor cracked, that took some of the energy from the fall as well. Most likely they put a fault into the granite to allow it to crack to do exactly what they wanted it to do.

do the mlb pitcher whip against a brick wall test, then i will be impressed. also, i want to see a video of somebody throwing theirs out the window onto the sidewalk 6 or 7 stories below. this freefall test wasn't from that high up, probably like 4 yards. if you think your vertu is that great, then do it, throw it out from your apartment window, 5+ stories.
its not about its strength, its about the ability to buy one. The only thing that matters is showing the world that you got some serious money. Fuck all the rest and dumb IT nerd saying, "i got a better phone for less money", think the rich guy cares ? he probably not even use all the features. The world is about money my friend. And if you buy a vertu for 10000 dollars you probably give your phone away to a lousy sucker that complains about the strength-capacity, simply cus you got the money.
okay so what if this ass phone falls from 7 floor and i rush down to get it...then by the time i reach the bottom somebody steals it :| what a waste
