I love this game to, but i don`t think i would bother scavenging my shed to locate the ole PS2 console even though it still works..my most recent WWII sim was blazing angels on PS3. The game was better than expected and the retail was a real bargain! Go get it!

@LAGERUNG3 Not at all. IL-2 is a true flight sim, SWON is a half-assed action game that was pushed over from the PS2.

In IL-2 you really have to fly and learn to shoot straight - in this game, all you gotta do is trying to aim and punch the trigger.

@mac163, the only girls to flight war planes in battle were the Russian Black Widows (I am not surr of the name of the unit). They flew absolete monoplanes in nighttime missions against the Germans in the Eastern Front, they actually engage German Me -110's discovering that their smaller but more manouvareble older plane could handle short combat dog fight time over enemy territory.

@Wolfen443 i know i made a joke. actually i believed they were nicknamed the night witches by the germans because they flew mainly at night on harassment raids etc. these female pilots used the Po-2 biplane in these raids. some that had better flying skills and went on to more advanced aircraft such as the Yak or the Lagg etc.

@mac163 Believe this is based on the Luft'46 series, where in an alternative history the man power was greatly reduced from the war so women were brought in. This is not so unlikely as the Russians had the 588th Night Bomber Regiment made up of young women that flew Harassment bombing against German advancement. Interesting enough they flew old bi-planes to do this, the germans had a hard time fighting them because their airspeed was lower then the German aircraft stall speeds LOL.

@halowraith1 Yeah, well for example if you go to the lucasarts website and go on the SWON game and see the gallery, youll see secret levels, other unlockable planes like the F4U Corsair, and different aircraft skins that you can't aquire and probably change skins in the campaign missions, and i agree with you on the secret hangar.

@halowraith1 Im pretty sure not the Bf110, but you can use the He162, an italian airplane i forgot the name to, the P-40 Kittyhawk, maybe the Hellcat, and a desert camo Ju-87, among others. and thats true, i went on the site and i cant click on it either, but last time i went was like 3 years ago, i guess it only works for newer games that you can, but ive seen it and it has those pl;anes.
