fjzingo, Because that's what roy does, he brings a different sound to his music. He does what no one does today that's why I buy jazz only, R&B SUCKS, Nobody can sang or play real music. What Roy is playing is call a vibe which was called a one time XYLOPHONE. VIBRAPHONE PIPES AND A FOOT PEDAL which nobody can play but those that are GIFTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roy's music is mesmerizing,,,,I remember seeing him on the Camden (NJ) waterfront. Just as he was about to sing "Running Away", it had begun to rain. It started pouring, but everyone was dancing and having a good time as it we were in the sunshine.
