@fastlife1688 Haha try not to kill those subs, me on the other hand I'm destroying my subs with to much power instead of not enough haha I bought a Hifonics 1200.1D and I'm stuck with Kicker comp 12s until I save up some money. They are actually pretty good subs for the price and they take more than their rated 150rms thats for sure :)
@ks0322915 def not. its all about the setup. not about the subs. also about how much more air you're moving. you're moving more air with 2 12's rather then one 15. My two 12's are pullin mid 140's. and thats with just a prefab pro box. all the money is in the box. get a cheap ass sub, and a custom box, and it has potential.
@fastlife1688 kicker L7 is rated 650 rms at 4 ohms while a type r is rated 750 rms at 2 ohms ahah a kicker l7 is matched up to alpines top model witch is a type X not garbage type R type x is 1000rms at 2 ohm almost the same as a L7 rated higher still its more money then a type X and they still have there top model solo X that will whip n e thing alpine had ur a joke and so was that ur type R coast 149 brandnew lmao
u fuckin idiot shows wut u no u have a box made to the spec for memphis audio subs and have alpine type R in them ahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahhah
hey sound distorted because the camera mic can not handle the bass frequencies. Next time do some research before making yourself look like a total dumb fuck.
well you might of been fine wring them to 1ohm, but that's only assuming that your box rise/ impedance rise is great enough which it more than likely is.
weve had this amp at 1 ohm on 4 kicker cvr's it would play for about a half hour and cut out. still works great though. it does the same with the alpines. surprisingly it cut out alot faster at 1 ohm on the kickers. i do have a vid of these on the 750 at 1 ohm.
Kickers are built pretty nice...use to run a zx1000.1.....never could try 1ohm on it since my subs could either be wired to 2ohms or .5.......i went with .5ohm on my audioque 2200d......wish i took a video of my subs on some serious power before i wrecked my car. Only got vids with them on 1300rms
lol i got a memphis audio 15 inch box like yours for 1 15 pr and a 500 watt amp it is a good starter system and i can hit 137 db at the head rest in a suv
I agree with hulbert87. If you were really seeing 2000 watts RMS, your sub would be a crispy critter. Clipped or absolutly clean power, it will not do that wattage. Clamp your sub, you'd be suprised how many watts your actually pushing. What electrical upgrades do you have? Wire size? What does the voltage drop down to? You have extra batteries? Just curious bud. I have 2 12'' Type-R's myself, and fried an extra one just to prove a point. Hell, I might fry another one clamped just for reference!
Some one actually knows thier shit! Props for that brutha. Everybody swears the R's will do 3,000,000 watts RMS daily with ease, all day, but fail to realize they have 80 amp alty's, 4ga power wire, 5 year old stock batteries and overrated amps. Not to mention box rise and other factors. I'ma clamp mine SOON at full tilt with various frequencies to show that even with my electrical upgrades, and a 1000 CEA rated amp, I'm getting nothing close to it. I'll post it in a few days here for the noobs.
I bet that box slams! Liking the ported set up till the low note hits and the box unloads. Check out my 2 12'' R's doing some work in a sealed box. Impressive for sealed anyway.
heyyy about soldering ... . on that meade vid i know its a soldering iron but hes also using a poking device. you know what im talking about? check it out its in his left hand on that video i commented.
i can hear the car from like 3 blocks away it starts to tickle my hear when he hits the corner. im not sure how many watts its pushin, i never hooked it up to a multimeter
1 4 ohm speaker can handle a 2 or 8 ohm load a 2 ohm speaker can handle a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load there are TWO dual 4 ohm subs wired up here so they can only be at 1 ohm or 4 ohm. if i wire them down to 1 ohm the amp will burn up cuz its only 2 ohm stable which means the amp cant go below 2 ohms load or else the amp will be damaged
each sub is a dual 4 ohm speaker so with both of them i can only wire them to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm. if i ran it at 1 ohm it would most likely burn up the amp. so i thought it would be ok for now if we have it at 4 ohm.hes getting a newer 1 ohm stable amp, then it'll be bangin
Did you get them at best buy?
Lg801901 1 week ago
i had the exact same setup but then ran each sub a separate kicker 750.1 made a world of diffrence

at 4 ohms its only puttin out 375rms, divided for both subs = 187rms to each, so its underpowered
txguy18 1 year ago
dude, four ohms. you shoulda got the 2 ohm subs so you could get the full 750 rms...it sounds like shit. even if you are "breaking them in"

not too much. . . .this car sucks for audio. so theres really no use. its got all stock interior speakers hooked up to a pioneer 6600.

thats too bad theyre dual 2 but i love those kicker amps, i got a 750 and am about to get 2 type r dual 2 ohm so i found htis video, im sold lol
my amp said it was actually rated about 934 i think? kicker stamps all there amps wit hthe actual power tested individually
postman56 2 years ago
wire it at 1 ohm they dont rate kicker amps at 1ohm because there gay. i had a kicker 300.1 at 1 0ohm for almost a year and its bumpin hard
dvsguy2 2 years ago
look in my videos. i have two vids of the 750.1 at 1 ohm. too bad it cuts out all the time at 1 ohm, it did sound good though.
fastlife1688 2 years ago
@fastlife1688 really the kicker 750.1 can be stable @ 1 ohm?
imupabove 2 years ago
i just added it to this video with a video response. both 1 ohm vids are there.
fastlife1688 2 years ago
@dvsguy2 i got a kicker 750.1, i can wire 2 subs to 1 ohm no problem? how much you think the 750 will push out @ 1 ohm?
imupabove 2 years ago
@imupabove its str8 prob around like 900 rms. kicker amps are super under rated jus gotta use good batterys and thick wires
dvsguy2 2 years ago
i fucked around with my 3 ohm cvrs and made em 3 ohm load they are the most fucked up kicker i think made supposed to be 2 ohm but meters 3
tristincole07 2 years ago
i mean 2 ohm
tristincole07 2 years ago
still sounds loud, but that shit would be crazy if you got the dual 2 ohm type r, them zx750.1 run around 900 rms at 2 ohms
cjbears90 2 years ago
if they are dual 2 ohm subs, you can wire them together to get a 2 ohm load...
cjbears90 2 years ago
yes this is true. but these subs are dual 4 ohm
fastlife1688 2 years ago
well, doesnt it depend on what ohm the subs are?
cjbears90 2 years ago
why do you have them wired to 4 ohms??
cjbears90 2 years ago
because the amp was 2-ohm stable. you can only run the two subs at 1 ohm or 4 ohms. if we left it at 1 ohm, something bad woulda happened.
fastlife1688 2 years ago
well you might of been fine wring them to 1ohm, but that's only assuming that your box rise/ impedance rise is great enough which it more than likely is.
