I saw Edwene Gaines teaching about the 4 laws of prosperity and forgiveness was one of the four. She said she did 77 statements of forgiveness for 7 days (she got the idea from the conversation Jesus had with Peter when Peter asked how many times are we to forgive, 7? And Christ said 77 x 7)
When I heard that, I did the same thing, I wrote 77 statements of forgiveness in my journal for 7 days.
The revelation in it was how much resistance I had to forgiving (especially forgiving me).
I never pressured myself to forgive those who abused me in early childhood; in fact, I cursed them for years [they were dead], and that made me feel a lot better! But eventually, I noticed that I *did* start to forgive them ...cuz I realized there were causes for their cruelty, even if I can't know the reasons.
Honestly,
a big obstacle to forgiving is that ppl equate it with letting someone off the hook. It's not. If a wrongdoing is intentional, it will have its price.
Among the video clips you have in this page, the Forgiveness Law of Prosperity video is the most profound learning I got for a long time. Thank you for sharing it. I'm sure a lot of people can now understand what's keeping them from being prosperous. - Sonny, ICF Life Coach
I find this very inspirational as well, I have very recently been introduced to your work, very recent as in about an hour ago...I have read the book " The Secret " and they state there that if your having trouble in life, just open the book and the page you open to, will revel the answer you are looking for...As you said you did the same, signs show it must work..
It is interesting how I have come to find your words of inspiration - exactly at the time in life that I need them. You may see these comments, but even if you don't, I hope that someone that may read them understands that what you have to say is beyond helpful...dare I say somewhat "poetic" in human nature. I do thank you. You have provided me with a new found inspiration and have shown me that perhaps there is a different path I should travel. - Kris
Randy thanks so so much. I can not believe I missed this. I have viewed and listened to this video and other videos as well on numerous occassions. Here is what I missed and plan on putting this principle into practice today. Somehow missed the concept that you wrote the forgiveness letter affirmation out 13 times. Was like an ahhhhh haaaaa moment. Thanks Randy, have yourself a very Merry Christmas.
Loved this video. You make light about your experience and I am sorry to say I was laughing when you talked about them taking out the organ. It's obvious you get it. Forgiveness is the key as well as gratitude. Thank you for sharing. M-E
I like your reply about forgiveness and the pastor. We cannot put 'limits' on forgiveness...it's an on or off thing. You either forgive or you don't. I am trying to learn how to do this "unconditionally" and having difficulty with the 'betrayals'. I trusted people with my 'life' and they betrayed that. I KNOW I have to forgive but I think I let this STICK TO ME for too long and now it seems like it's part of me. The videos help. So thanks.
I found you through Eric Worre and though you don't need to hear it, because you know it and you've heard it a million times....YOU ARE AWESOME! Thx for today's insight. Needed it personally and professionally.
Enjoying these videos, but in some of them you're very hard to hear. I do wish you'd go one step further and get yourself some sort of microphone. Yes, it's an extra hassle compared to just whipping the camera out, but it will roughly double the watchability of your videos.
If your camera doesn't have a mic jack, a digital audio recorder (you probably already have one) will do the job, although then you have to sync up the sound as well. Better to get a camera with a mic jack.
@randygage I was in Darling Harbour yesterday, could have given you a lesson if you were home :-) Maybe next time. Nice job on replying to all the comments, too... "engagement".
When I forgive, I unburden myself of negative feelings and thoughts. I take the focus of my mind away from "the negative" and , suddenly, there is space for" the good". I become free to live as I please. Forgiveness is a present for oneself.
forgiveness. You posted this video on sept 11 2010 while pastor terry jones planned to burn quranbooks on that day. Does this posting mean that you don't agree with pastor and that people of america should forgive the 911 terrorists too?
@iwanbima01 Forgiveness means forgiving everyone. That doesn't mean you have to give them keys to the cockpit, but it does mean you have to forgive them. As for the other part of your question, anyone that would burn the prayer books of another faith certainly doesn't qualify for the title of pastor.
@randygage --but what if the prayer books say that all non believers of "that faith" are nothing more than cattle that should be slaughtered? Is it OK for a "pastor" to burn them? I'm not trying to challenge you, I just want to understand.
@whatrosebud It's important to get rid of anything in your home and life that is false. Falsehood attracts negativity. We should never have anything in our possession that offends God. God is love but there are some things he hates. He hates evil, he hates lies. We are to separate from those things that are offensive to God and offensive to our spirit. I wouldn't have any prayer book in my home that was false. I would not think twice about burning it if it disputes God's Word. I am a minister.
@randygage If someone is not even aware of doing a bad thing, don't they need to be punished at some level for the sake of their self-improvement? so that we can prevent something bad that happened to our lives happens to other people? hmmmmm..... I must read the book.lol
Hi Randy. Thanks fr this video. I also had a nasty experience, where I was false accused of having committed a certain offence. The following day, with the bitterness, I went to church. The message that was preached that day was about forgiveness!! It took me over two solid years to forgive these people, but when I finally did it, I had peace in my heart that is difficult to explain. Ever since, I have learned that its only forgiveness that will give you total peace and full recovery. Alfred,
Really tough things you had to go through those 2 years. And you are a very strong person to have been able to withstand all that pain and suffering. I really respect and admire you for that :).
Forgiveness is something which is very hard to practice because of the bad thing and/or pain the thing we have to forgive for reminds us of. But in the long run, if you forgive, God forgives you your sins too (just like in the Lord's prayer) and also you open your door to prosperity.
Randy, that is an amazing story! I have experienced how unforgiveness will TEAR YOU UP and I'm so happy to be FREE now!! I appreciate you sharing your story!!
@liquidfists1 hi. I do not practice any religions and never experienced the situation that you mentioned in your comment; however, I believe that as long as one hold a grudge and hatred against someone/something, one will never be happy. To me, forgiveness is like a ritual of releasing yourself from negative feelings which can harm and destroy you and your family's life, as disease comes from Dis Ease. Also, forgiveness doesn't mean you have to let criminals go free or to dishonor the victims.
Forgiving is a difficult thing to do, especially when you feel wronged. Most people want revenge but the few who release go on to a healthier, happier life. They make room for their greater good by releasing.
I follow the same practice with opening up to a "random" page. Have you read The Millionaires of Genesis? Awesome Ponder read, my fave.
@randygage Hey Randy, Could you make a video on the importance of mentorship and the best way to get and approach one to manifest true prosperity? It would be great to know your point of view. Thanks :O) Have a great day.
Interesting Randy, I didn't know you were a believer, and for some reason I didn't think you were. But I am pleased to hear this.
Yeh... I have learned that forgiveness is not for the other persons sake but for our own. I have heard amazing testimonies of lives being changed and even healings the moment someone releases forgiveness.
It's another one of Go'd immutable principles that are on earth for our benefit.
Randy, that is an awesome video. Glad you are doing better. I am a big believer in looking for the positive in adversity. And I have never failed to find it. Take care!
Another great book and philosophy is that in the book "Radical Forgiveness". Look it up. It takes forgiveness to another level via metaphysics. It has changed how I view life every singe day.
Great video!

GODBrothersVenture 1 year ago
@GODBrothersVenture My book "The 7 Spiritual Laws of Prosperity" has a chapter on this. But as an example, for others:
Forgiving love sets us free.
For yourself:
I have grown in my consciousness, and release the old me. I forgive myself, and move forward to accept my abundance.
