This video shows that SANDAG is still focused solely on transit as a way to move vehicles and public transportation efficiently from Point A to Point B. No mention was made of Complete Street Design, multi-modal street design, bicycles or pedestrians. SANDAG needs to start thinking of Streets as neighborhoods, urban space, and where people live work and play, and not just in terms of vehicle movement.

In the near term, the Expo Centennial is coming up in 2015. My vision is to drop the car off in El Cajon and ride the trolley right to the entrance to Balboa Park.

Isn't someone restoring an original trolley from the first Expo? That would be a huge tourist draw.
