Hi. You can use one of the the templates that's on the cd that comes with the Faderfox. Just open it up in Live and that'll give you a good starting point. You can then make any modifications to it if you want.
very good, just one question, this is a midi only device, would you suggest any particular external usb sound card for it (maybe m-audio fast track pro) and would I just connect it direct via midi to the external soundcard? Thanks
U need an external soundcard only for pre-fader listening (if u have no 2nd audio output). U can take the cheapest 5.1 card with at least 2 audio OUTputs. On one output u connect ur PA on the other ur headphones.
The faderfox (or any other MIDI controller) is connected directly via MIDI or with a MIDI-USB-converter via USB.
Just to add to koivo's reply, the Fast Track Pro is a good card as you'll get pretty good quality sound, lots of inputs/outputs as well as MIDI which you can use to plug in the Faderfox. If you don't already have an external card this is the way I'd suggest going.
If you already have an external card but it doesn't have MIDI, then you can (as koivo suggested) use a MIDI to USB interface like the Uno from M-Audio.
Hi,
Is the LV1 almost as good?
I might be able to get one. or are there reasons not to?
Cheers
