  • If you have the time will you please share your thoughts on the Seedwings Space? I'm looking to upgrade from my Aeros Target single surface glider. I'm amazed to see the Space is DHV 1-2 almost like a beginners glider. I'm wondering if this means that it handles very well OR that it's too much like a beginners glider and not a big enough step when upgrading. What's your opinion on the performance of the Space? I'm comparing it to competitiors like the WW Sport2, Airborne Sting3, Moyes Sonic etc.

  • Well, I have never flown the Space myself and have never been flying next to it, so I can't really compare it. I've flown a skyfloater, a Laminar Easy and I fly the Spyder now.

I know the Space can be flown at very slow speeds, so I guess it is a real good climber, with definitely a better glide ratio than a single surface glider, but I don't know by how much. At first glance, it looks really comparable to the Sting 3 and the Sport 2.

  • Maybe you should look for a Laminar Eazy, if you feel very comfortable on your current glider and fear that you won't make enough progress with a Space. I guess that the Eazy is more performant due to a larger aspect ratio. And it certainly still is a lot 'softer' than a Discus, U2, Litesport or Spyder.

  • Nice shots of the Seedwings Space. Did I see a Funky too?

  • Yes indeed, the red one is the Space, the blue one the Funky and the orange one is a Spyder.

  • Well, the white one with the red stripe is the Space.
