  • Jack and the Rev. The reasons I picked up a guitar 50 years ago. No regrets.

  • A little rough in the arrangement but ok. Dave Van Ronk does it best!

  • They (Jagger and Richards) saw him playing at a train station after school and when they walked away they decided that that's what they wanted to do too. True story.

  • The reason the jagger and Richards play for a living is actually because of Ramblin Jack Elliot.

  • @gringodude50 I believe it, but dont ignore the Rev.

  • wow!

  • This is such a great version. I have heard many, and one of my favorites is Keith Richards version, which is almost identical to this. Keef must like Ramblin Jack, I sure do,

  • @gbrownstrat Keith does like Jack a lot. And apparently Mick Jagger first started playing guitar when he heard a Jack Elliott record. Jack Elliott has done a couple of good versions of the Stones' Connection too.

  • @winespill1 This track is on an album called 'Keith Richards' Jukebox, I found it on spotify.

  • He recorded this on Topic 10 inch LP "Jack Takes The Floor" 1959 and he recut it on "South Coast" Red House Records in 1995. This version is from the former.

  • nick drake played this

  • Wish I could hear his "Me and Bobby McGee Again :-)

  • Jackson Browne covered it well too :)
