I don't think most people realize how difficult it is to commentate. When you are watching a commentator, it's easy to see the things that they miss and notice the times that they misspeak. The truth is, it is nearly impossible to talk for 20 minutes without making at least a couple of mistakes or missing something. The important part is that these commentators bring entertainment, and some valuable insight into the game.

That's not really true at all.... They usually catch all of the timings and tell why something is happening and follow up with what is most likely going to happen next. And, 99% of the things they do miss are from less important games or in moments where the game is paced down so they're talking about metagame or being ridiculous lol

You don't really have to watch them, but don't say they're shit.... they dedicate a lot of their time to commentary and are pretty damn good at it.

So describe this ability that they lack? They seem to catch all the important moments of a match, and make them enjoyable to watch.... while giving background information of the pro scene and also explaining how the metagame is developing. And, one big thing... they each have over 5000 subscribers meaning they're doing something right? Meaning, even if they're as "Unable" as you say they are they're still bringing more and more people into the sc community.

They do that and more.... some commentators just have different styles of analysis. Like Klazart, a prime example, loves to make clever comparisons and then instantly jump into play by play when need be. Cholera usually starts off with the opening builds and then what each player needs to do... then he fills in all the gaps with his... awkward humor lol.

But anyway they have plenty of ability, and make the games entertaining to watch. Some people just prefer different personalities though.

Ummmm, Klazart is a hero of the foreign starcraft community. He got me and many others into Starcraft over the years he's been in the scene. And all those people you mentioned do know a lot. Who cares if sometimes their commentaries sometimes have a higher entertainment value than they are informative. That's what makes them so great.
