I remember the 45rpm players for cars. A guy 5 years older than me had one, and I asked him if it skipped while riding. He said NO. He took me for a ride and it did not skip. I did not bother to check out the specifics why, and often wondered why it did not skip. I think I new another guy who had one. All about the same time period (68). Tapes took over.
@suburbanryder We went down Gratiot, which is a well used paved road North of Detroit. It probably was not very bumpy. I would think on a bumpy, washboard, dirt road, it would skip. I still know the guy. I will check with my sister if she can give me his email address. I will ask him.
Good report. I remember seeing the car record players in some of my old hot rod magazines. One I seen had a wight on the arm to help the needle stay on the record over a bumpy road. I love old stuff like that.
@kiwibiker100 Ok I am going to count it as you are taking Pats to win by 4 just in case someone comes and chooses Pats by 3 to make it fair. Good luck.
@suburbanryder BTW, forgot to mention this the first time but it is almost February. It might be time now to take down the Christmas decorations. LOL! ; )
I really liked the cube story, it could mean in the future that vlogger could have there own internet which would be cool ! I get the idea of the of it but the science is way over my head ! I've only been watching these reports for the last few months, and maybe you've already explained this in a past vid but if you could tell us new viewers, were did your love of science come from ? Thankyou and take care !
Great report Chuck. I always feel in good company when watching you in action. -- I am too busy to get to keep up with breaking technology like you do. It is always an interesting ride ...
I am now building a wind farm in Raymondville, TX - down by Brownsville...anyway stay warm up there!...
Interesting SR . The bending of light waves, microwaves, etc. That's how astronomers detect a black hole. It is not viewable through normal light waves, infra red, or ultraviolet. But, through the Doppler shift of known light sources in the area that shift to the longer (red-infra red) spectrum. Just think, a relatively small volume with a gravitational pull (mass) much greater than our own sun. A gravitational pull that can actually change the velocity of light (Photons, gamma radiation, etc)
@MrPolymers There is a theory floating around that our universe is the inside of a black hole. As a black hole gets larger it needs less density to still be a black hole.
Your vids either make me think and feel like my brain is still able to work, or they make me think my brain has shutdown and I am just lucky I can even remember to breath! Either way, it's always a good watch my friend!
Those small satellite cubes are cool , hope to see them up and running soon. CB450 was a cool bike too , it wasn't a cb450 black bomber unfortunately :-)... I think it was a 1972 model with an 68 front wheel in it , not sure about that though.
I love the satellite cubes, the idea that government restricts the existing internet to a point where the community launches a new version of it into space is cool.
after watching a few of your TDD report vid's now , I believe I was right you would have been the one to slove my check in the bottle riddle . I take it you didn't see it ? PBC ride 20
like to hear your concept on sloving the problem of getting the check out of the bottle to cash it.
@suburbanryder i dunno old motorcycles for me they had soul i don't know if you know what i mean, todays motorcycles they to me look all the same, no class, they just want to built them faster and faster

This answers a lot of the questions about keeping it from skipping under normal conditions.

theres a big black thing hanging from your ceiling. let me guess.... you cant see it.
bugSPLATtv 1 month ago
@bugSPLATtv It's the old pipe from the wood burning stove.
The new insurance regulations and costs have made them horribly expensive to keep using.
It's cheaper to just remove them and pay the extra gas cost.

Another great report. If only I could make some of my in-laws disappear.
mcgrawtim123 1 month ago
@mcgrawtim123 The rule here is the decorations stay up till January is over.
If I complain I could get elected to pack them all up and haul them to storage.
I can't have that happening. LOL

That portable record player was very cool...had never seen one like that before....have no clue about the score in the game Chuck....lol.

Pats by 10. Brady has been looking forward to this rematch!
geesisfreak 1 month ago
@geesisfreak Being a Chiefs fan my heart is always with the AFC.
My brain however tells me the Pats don't have as good a pass coverage as the seasons before.
The Manning to Victor Cruz combo may be hard to stop. That's their key.
Stop Cruz and you will have a good chance of winning.
