  • Kocham.

  • How could scatterheart be explained? Does it mean something in English?? Anyone could answer?

  • @Calaveras84 If you're a Scatterheart, you give peices of your heart away easily. Scatter means throwing things in various directions. I think its a great name for the song, sums up Bjork perfectly, she puts peices of her heart into everything she does, just like her character did in this movie.

  • Bjork doesn't create art. She is art.

  • I cry as a baby avarytime I watch this movie... Love you, Björk! You're great with everything you do!

  • this part of the movie is my start point for crying and until the end I can not stop crying.. Especially when she hugs and linda says "run for your boy" is so emotional..

  • 4:50 -6:10 oh my god so beautiful!

  • 3 oscars she s great

  • i Believe that bjork is a Faerie : ) with her unique appearance and enchanting voice why not?

  • @animedisneylover or an angel

  • @SIngli6

    that was hilarious

  • @Karlsonas17

    Yes. Yes, it was.

  • the power scene in this clip is the end in the water, when she walks into it dancing and her face expression changes from happy to pain. feels so real. bjork is a wonder<3

  • you just did what you had to do

  • I could listen to 0:20-0:53 all day . In fact I think I will. <3 XD

  • Man, this fucking song is for my kids, sorry I had to divorce your Dad.....I did what I had to do....I hurt you much more...so don't you worry.....we do have to forgive

  • Man, this fucking song is for my kids, sorry I had to divorce your Dad.....I did what I had to do....I hurt you much more...so don't you worry

  • i killed your man

you have to hurry up,i called the police, they're just down the road

they've come for me, why should i run?

they'll take your money, run for your boy

silly selma, you're tje one to blame

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

favorite part, especially when she smiles saying: silly selma, you're the one to blame

  • The time it takes a tear to fall

A heart to miss a beat

A snake to shed its skin

A rose to grow a thorn

Is all the time that's needed

    To forgive me

    this is my favourite part

  • Thumbs up if you cried during this movie.

  • @TechnoFreak21344 cried almost the whole time

  • @PikiruMuzu Right? The movie punched you in the tear maker. Its amazing.

  • @TechnoFreak21344 i cry everytime i watch this movie and i love it

  • @marco18p Its perfect isent it?

  • Lars von Trier and Bjork make a great combo.

  • Bjork got Talent!!! is incredible ! A Great Woman =)

  • Really random, but did anyone notice how, at 4:37, Selma ran halfway across the bridge, but then, at 4:43, she's standing at the beginning of the bridge?

  • @ZikittyZakitty lol, yeah.

  • what a masterpiece! no mercy for anyone!

  • esta version es diferente en las notas musicales porque esta mas elevado en el tono y tambien el coro cuando canta gene! smith and wesson segun algunos es la version pero no la encuentre en ninguna parte :S

  • Morse has some decent dance moves for a dead guy.

  • One of the most amazing, tear-jerking movies I have seen in a while. This is, by far, my favorite song in the film.

  • Isnt this Fran's limit break

  • what a voice

  • poor sweet selma

  • thanks otter.

  • it is sad...

  • Esta versión es muuucho mejor que la del album Selmasongs. Donde la descargo?

This version is much better than the one from the album Selmasongs. Where can I donwload it?

  • Scatterheart and Pagan Poetry are my favorite songs by Bjork. the amount of detail in Lars von Trier's work is astounding. The two together is almost too painful.

  • 5:14-6:10 is the best part...

I mean the whole this is great, but that last bit is amazing

  • I "like" this in an artistic light.

Though it hurts under many others...

    Very emotive.

    :d

  • I'm not one to cry because of a film, and I even read the plot before I watched Dancer in the Dark so I knew all that was going to happen, but still, the impact was huge....little over halfway and the dam broke, cried through the whole thing like never in my life before. I love it. Especially after all the mainstream crap these days...

  • child's last scene i think.. great song.. and a great movie..

  • To me, this is the song that represents the best what is Björk as a singer and artist... The complexity of her voice is completely unveiled during this performance and the composition, the song in general, is a perfect example of her harmonies and musical inspiration.

  • this song always make me drop a couple tears.

  • I'm sure Bjork didn't give a shit about having an oscar or not ... she got one of the most prestigious prize at cannes festival and the movie got the palm. Cannes Festival is much more interesting than the academy awards ...

  • The songs in this film have both brought out the worst and the best feelings within me, it's so powerful :) <3

  • This was definitely one of my favorite songs in this movie. The part with her son and the part where Bill and his wife are together in the room at 5:49 made me cry, a lot. This movie was so sad but I loved it.

  • beautiful

  • Selma was a really great role...

Symbol of chastity, humility, quiet strength, dignity, the absolute determination and above all of them, the maternity...

That film left me a bittersweet taste but made me dream...

  • I would love to see Lady Gaga try to top THEE BJORK! BJORK IS A GODDESS!

  • @tweethang1 well i think even lady gaga would admit, that she is nothing compared to björk. some couldnt be that ignorant.... on the other hand look at history.

  • Oh yeah, I'd love to cry for the entirety of the last half of a movie.

All that aside, this is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

  • The chorus of this song, with her son biking in circles, is one of the most powerful moments of any movie I've ever seen. I cry every time.

  • @tilapiah6

and when she sings at the end "I just did what I had 2 do"....

  • Yeah, Bjork really surprised me with this one. I've always hated her music but, now, I'm thinking of taking another listen. My favorite line, though, is still "It's your damn musical" by her son in the film.

  • her face 6:08

    she is acting amazing

  • @erdals absolute power

  • 604 - 6:10

    WOW.

  • the best 6 minutes in whole movie!

  • I couldn't sleep well after watching this movie. It's really sad.

  • Someone who did script to this movie was thinking about Bjork.

  • The scene gives you a sense of "falling down" and nothing can stop the fall. It is inevitable.

  • YOU JUST DID WHAT YOU HAD TO DO!

  • yes....the gal wearing the swan dress...we all worship at the church of bjork...i love her greatly...ever seen that video where she attacks a reporter?...lol..even that makes her special...probably not sued...not in america

  • She is one of the most BEAUTIFUL and DYNAMIC And ORIGINAL People on this world. I mean her poetry in her vocals - she is the poetic in motion without a doubt.

I mean No one Has crafted such deep lyrics as hers.

    MASHALLAH She's Great

    I LOVE HER

  • Wow.... Beautiful stuff.

  • I absolutely love Dancer In The Dark, and they couldn't have picked anyone better than Bjork to play Selma<3

  • In Scatterheart on the Cd "Selmasongs" Björk sings alone :S

  • @blomme1992 Acully, the song where only Björk is singing is called scatterheart. I have some papiers from Lars von trier, it says that the song have a diffrent name i the movie, but i dont rember it.. The lyrics are also diffrent :).

  • @Wednesday13dk The name os this song is "Smith and Wesson", the name of a gun (probably the one with which Slema killed Bill.

  • this movie made me cry...maybe because i was mad cause selma coudn't speak up and say that all that money was hers !...she just went with what everyone was saying ..she needed to stand up and say something ..but she was just so polite ...i was mad cause i wish she could just put her foot down say enough !...but she just killed that man...i didn't think i was goonna cry till i watched selma get hanged...then it was just hard to swallow seing bjork's charachter like that...maybe i wouldnt have..

  • i guess everybody cries with this movie because of desperation because you cant do anything about selma's faith and somehow you want to be the hero the story! (as any commercial film would end)

this would make an excellent book, if it were i will probably shed 10,000 more tears than watching the film, still, björk is an excellent actress!

  • @koojean gosh i saw this movie when i was 12 i cried like you can't imagine, haha my older brother (17 years) didn't cry just for his pride, but he was as sad as me whe he saw the ending :'(

  • Oh shit!

    i am crying ... again :S

    JUST A PERFECT MOVIE

  • the beautifullest movie ever.

  • .... <3

  • Amazing! My favorite song of the movie.

    Thanks for sub this!

    :D

  • masterpiece!

  • Julia Roberts didnt deserve the Oscar...they had to gave it to Bjork!!!

  • @Kaneda1972 The Oscar is fake

  • @Kaneda1972 That's TRUE!

    Björk rocks.

  • @Kaneda1972 hell yeah !!

  • @Kaneda1972

Julia roberts did deserve the ocar, the reason Bjork didnt win(and i dont thinks she was nominated for an oscar)is becuase its an independent film.but i agree Bjork's performance was much more deep and intense, but julia roberts was very good too.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

    bjork makes my life!

  • amazing movie.

the only one that made me cry

  • I l.o.v.e this movie. Its so emotional. She loves her son so much, she'd do anything for him, even if it means killing someone.

  • what she does for her child is amazing!! what a wonderful movie! you have to watch it wit your soul and heart!

  • Okay I cried at this.

  • Cuanto me hiciste pensar en esta gran pelicula, pues mi padre es invidente y eso me llego muxo. Te kerre toda la vida.

  • Si esta pelicula es triste pero hermosa

  • Youuu just diiid what you had to dooo...

  • She deserve the oscar ♥

    I ♥ Bjork x3

  • Oscars don't matter when you get the Palme d'Or! then you know you've done well:D

  • I am a huge fan of Björk, and this is my favourite song of her... Scatterheart was the first one that I heard and it was enough for me to say "this woman is going to fill my ears for the next 80 years of my life" This song and this video synthetise what Björk is as a singer.

  • scary songs hard listening

  • She shoulda won an oscar

  • this was very hard to watch

    but overall very good movie

    very sad

fuck bill for lying and taking her money

    he took advantage of her

and i was mad becuase she didnt defend herself in court

but bjork is verryyyyy good actress

    this is the coolest scene

  • the movie is amazing..

    sooo wow

  • I made a remix of this song , you can hear it on

    myspace(dot)com/jnarko

its called "sleepyhead",check it out and tell me if you liked it plz.

  • You shouldnt watch this if you havent seen the movie

    stop posting that shit

  • I REALLY want to see this D:

  • Where can I get this version?

  • I love that film. and this song makes me cry.

  • Such an amazing film, so painful to watch..

  • yea... I cried so hard.

  • I like the pun, Björk laying on Birch (björk) logs.

  • Haha, nicely spotted! I have to say, that had totally slipped me by.

  • It is very bleak and depressing and haunting. It's brilliant at the same time. The musicals fascinate me. They are surreal

  • i like more this version the other one is more strange

  • This movie is too depressing for words.

  • i'm cryin' right now... there's nothing else to say...

  • My Fav song from the movie!!!!

    <33333

  • i love bjork she is so crazy but sexy all at the same same she scares me but i like the shit out of bjork i would marry bjork if i could true story

  • 5:49, although it only lasts a second, is the most emotionally penetrating moment of the entire movie.

  • Agreed!

  • yeah when they put the bag on her face and she is screaming

    and then she starts singing

  • gosh I can't stop crying after this scene :( bjork is such a powerful actress, her performances are scarily real. the emotion in her face and voice just gets me so bad, she's too sweet and so very talented.

  • this movie was really unfair. I was expecting an ending to look foward to. Instead a complete and utter broken heart :(

  • i know what you mean, my heart was broken after watching this and i was inconsolable, oh dear.. i have never been affected by a film as much as this. i found myself aching for the musical scenes to appear to whisk us out of the bleakness of the story. it's a film i recommend to people, but then say don't watch!

  • i do like the other version though

    but this is nice too

  • i ADORE this song!

  • Uwielbiam ten utwór....she is beautiful and talented. This is magic:)

    <3333

  • this scene makes me cry all the time

  • This is so hauntingly amazing.

  • there are'nt very many films made that have such powerful imagery or music that reaches down and pulls at your heart. This film actually makes you hurt.

  • I know EXACTLY what you mean..

  • ohh god the part when her son begins to sing sets me off....yet again. i cry like everyother scene. this movie is too beautiful for its own good.

  • where i can find lyrics suits this video i mean original, not rewritten for the soundtrack album selmasongs?

  • watch?v=MyNBrnzvXVU

  • thanks a lot

  • Isn't this song made for the movie? Has she sung it already before? :o It fits very well!

  • It was written by her for the movie, like every other song in it. :)

  • "you just did what you had to do-oo" i just love that.. :) im gonna somehow make it my sms-signal

  • Definatly the movie version is very good. I feel that it captures the feel of the movie thats why. Excellent version.

  • I actually like the movie version better than the original scatterheart.

  • Me too!

  • I don't think the quality of singing is the hot issue. She just killed the fucker, what do you expect her to look like? Epic: STOP! You said it.

  • i would've loved this version on the soundtrack instead.. its so much more epic and climactic.

  • that is sooo truth! =(

  • But There is a cd with the songs of the movie! "Dancer in the Dark (movie version)"

(Sorry for my poor english writing)

i got it, if you want it!

  • really??? =O=O=O

    that would be so coool!

    umm hablas español?? =)

  • si! hablo español xD ahora mismo te doy el link :D

  • Hey, I'd like that version too! :D

  • Me too! Put it on filedropper or something?

  • wahhhh Yo tambien lo quiero, por favor?

  • Where'd you obtain it? Couldn't be official.

  • yo tmb quiero el disco, si te es posible mandarmelo!

  • do you think you could send an mp3 of all those songs on that cd?

  • I certainly agree.

  • :'(

  • it's more sad watching this scene again after watching the end :(

  • OMG!

this movie affected my mind psychologically. U_U

it's so sad and unfair what they did to her. it really psychologically affected me. :(

    i love bjork!

  • Art.

  • god proposes, hymen disposable prurient pallor of this this this seedy dehiscence unwholesome wholeness of the howling hole lush lush lush flutter of electrifying lashes flattering flirt overwhelming, dashing a young officer,boy-bashing a dent a dent ardent a young officer of a certain age sir, an offer a twist of the wrists, at my risk, sir office, officer, office aeons have seemed to elapse since we last bled each other's colours yes sir, certainly and assuredly so
  • Huh?

  • My name is Selma :)

  • LOVE!

  • 5:48 :(

  • this scene breaks my heart </3

even though i love it <3

  • I...don't know what's going on... Does anyone else think that this is off-key from the movie? Because this video annoyed me, I loved this scene when I first saw it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's been posted.

  • Nevermind... I think I'm just crazy.

  • I just did what a had to do....

  • I love this movie is so... different.
