Unfortunately a too-short video, but very helpful if you want to read Wiker (before I heard the video, I thought his name was pronounced “wicca”!). It shows why some very familiar targets of conservatism like “The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money” are absent: that is not a pamphlet.

Wiker said he could write a “Ten More Books The Screwed Up the World”, something I would love to see. His explanations, however, are very well-done.

@guodade I strongly disagree. Dr. Wiker butchers his topics, and I find it no small coincidence what path his selections take. Take Nietzsche. Wiker committs the singular sin that every reader of Nietzsche has made or come close to making in the entire history of his publication--namely, that Nietzsche's ideas should be a clarion call for a nationalist approach. Wiker's treatise on Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil" does just this...ignoring Nietzsche HIMSELF calling the state a disease!

Benjamin Wiker was recently a guest of the Young America's Foundation. On Book TV's website there is a video called Great Books to Read in College that features Wiker along with a few other interesting authors. If you liked this video I'm sure you would like that one.

On google books you can read Wikers treatment of Darwin's Descent of Man. It is an eye opener.
