To me nothing is so consoling, so piercing, so thrilling, so overcoming, as Christ's sacrifice on the cross. It is not a mere form of words-it is a great action, the greatest action that can be on earth......
@johnthreesixteen316 And this sacrifice of Christ's on the cross was a one time deal. Claiming to sacrifice a graven image of Christ called the eucharist over and over again millions upon millions of times is to deny the very heart of the gospels, pulling Christ down from the cross and refusing to accept His power to save us from sin His way.
When Christ said to eat His body and drink His blood He was speaking figuratively, not literally. The Book of John also says "unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Does this mean we need to be pushed out of our mother's womb again? Of course not. That would be impossible. Christ offered His body and blood on the cross for us. He wants us to accept His body and blood sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.
@kiwichristian2009 Sorry. You seem to be judging others again. I will give you a quick tip, if you want. Don't condemn others and accuse people of being the Anti-Christ and then call yourself a follower of Christ. Your hypocrisy shatters me. What did you say? Christ said to love your enemy? I see nothing of this from you.
@assasincomedy I am judging no man, my friend. That's not my job. I am reproving and rebuking the Word of God. If i didn't love you, i wouldn't be spending so much time on here. At least i have never tortured and murdered my enemies like your organisation has in the millions.
@assasincomedy Hello friend. 'narrow personal belief'......Christ said in Matthew 7 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and NARROW IS THE WAY, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
@assasincomedy Hello friend. Christ said the gospel shall be preached to the whole world and then the end shall come. I'm just doing my part to preach the gospel to those who don't have it. I love Roman Catholics. Most of my family are RC. I try to get them to see the truth which is in Christ, and not a man-made religion/cult.
@assasincomedy Hello friend. No scripture says that. Peter himself says Christ is the rock....1 Peter 2:6-8 “Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone, and a stone of stumbling and a rock [petra] of offense."
@assasincomedy Oh, and here......1 Corinthians 10:4 "And all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock [petra] that followed them, and that Rock [petra] was Christ."
@assasincomedy And here......Peter says Christ is the rock.....Acts 4.....”Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel..............that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. THIS IS THE STONE which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner."
@johnthreesixteen316 Protestant critics of the Catholic Church used to, and some still do make a great deal of the difference between Petros (m) and Petra (f); ignoring the fact that our Lord did not speak Latin or Greek to St Peter. It is interesting that John retains the Aramaic 'Kaypha'(John 1:42), and St Paul uses it by preference.
Obviously Jesus words, "this is my body" should be taken symbolically because it falls within a long list of symbolic statements Christ said: "I am the bread," (John 6:41), "I am the vine," (John 15:5), "I am the door," (John 10:7,9), "I am the good shepherd,"(John 10:11,12), "You are the world the salt, (Matthew 5:13), "You are the light of the world the salt, (Matthew 5:14)
ahm2!!..i like the Tridentine Mass, because i can see the solemnity, the sacredness of the mass. compare to the service worship of the protestant or other sects. In other hand i dont lyk the vatican ii mass, i have 2 reasons y i dont like it. 1st reason is y do we need to changed the traditional or the tridentine mass,is there a connection to our faith? 2nd reason is, the protestant are the one who helped to engineer it. its very unacceptable.
Latin Mass groups are everywhere here in the US. How about around the world? My friend in London says he is unaware of any Traditionalist movement in the UK.
Well Sir according to my friend dacatholicbandorgan, there are plenty. Infact, I heard from him that Catholic Tradition is the reason the church if england is on the verge of a major conversion. 700 bishops have gone to the catholic faith, sadly his grace bertone is not allowing it.
@kiwichristian2009 If you knew anything about Nazi Germany, you would know that the Hitler Youth, was compulsary, and you were not allowed to simply 'not take part'. The german populance of WW2 did not recognise what the Nazis were doing until the end of the war. If you also did some researching on the Pope during his early years, his father was Anti-Nazi and he showed no enthusiasm in his includance in the Hitler youth. You wonder why Catholics dislike talking with Protestants like yourself.
yah i agree with this video...CATHOLIC TRADITION is not dead!!! we must go back to the tradition... The batlle between Satan is tough... The Blessed Virgin is always praying with us...
we cannot alter or change the liturgy, the Mass and etc. We must return to the Tridentine Mass... the genuine Catholic Form of WORSHIP... I am fully convinced that the Church is suffering due to the disintegration of the Liturgy after Vatican II.
Hey mate!! The apallation "Tridentine" can only be afixed to the Mass if the Missal of Pope St Pius V, promulgated in 1570,is used. If this is so, this parish is NOT in communion with Rome. If they are in communion with Rome, they would use the Extraordinary Form of the ONE Roman Rite, i.e. the Missal of John XXIII, 1962. Much has been revised between 1570 & 1962!! the most important of which is the reinstalation of the Triduum Sacrum [the hub of the Christian Faith..]. this is fabulous! thanks.
Pope Pius X made many alterations to the "Form" of which you speak, e.g. the Mass of the Catecumens inluded two extra processions in aid of 'excising spirits', and the people said absolutely nothing; they were actually divided from the sanctuary by a 'rood' screen. So we, the people saw nothing. So, the 'form' was also considerably altered. It's like saying middle english and victorian english is still english - no, the former is unrecognisible to us, the latter has a 'semblance' to english...
I mean that the traditional Mass as it is in the 1962 Missal is the liturgy valid for today's usage. I want to stay clear of the 'Tridentine' label because this doesn't describe the 1962 Mass well. The 1962 Mass can trace its roots back to even the Pontificate of Symmachus (5th Century) [later codified by Gregory the Great] because it contains the ancient triduum sacrum... if I need to label it, I would call it Gregorian. But the church prefers the label "Extraordinary Form".
Why is it, that the Lord's Church has gone so far from its most beautiful traditions. It is in these apostolic traditions that our Church remained outside of the world, it was a force of spiritual bounty, and a beacon of light for the temporal world. In the traditional ways of the Faith, the world was connected to the heavens by a Glorious Way laid down by Christ. It seems we have lost that now. God be with us.
the Tridentine mass is indeed making a comeback. the flood-gates of grace are opened. dear God, please restore order and tradition back into Your church
Pirateking: just have a little patience. It will happen soon. In our lifetimes, the Mass of All Ages will once again be present on all the altars of the world. The new experiment is in its death throes.
Death throes.....heresy...people who don't know how to reply correctly......as much as i love the Tridentine Mass in all it's beauty. Have some common sense here...
you know nothing of the works and plots of satan. The new mass is a complete heresy. Look at Martin Luthers words on how to destroy catholicism. That is exactly what happened in the Novus Ordo.
