OMG i remeber this i think i was near the front of the row im not sure but i loved this they i think started with duece that woke the crcowd up O.O But yea i liked paul and ace they were kewl!

Hell yes, my high school band, "Thick 'n Creamy" covered this song & Cold Gin & Fire House. I saw this tour and the '76 tour when they came through Albany, NY. Check out the triple Gibson attack: "the Ripper" (Gene) the "Firebird"(Paul) and the "Les Paul" (Ace) . . . pure rock
God I remember growing up with this stuff. A time of street hockey, marvel comics, hanging out at the 7-eleven playing Asteroids, T-shirts that read 'DISCO SUCKS', the movie 'THE WARRIORS' & 'STARWARS' plastic scateboards, HAPPY DAYS & WELCOME BACK KOTTER. Hush puppies and North star sneakers, Saturday night live and french cut jeans. Pong, iron on t-shirts, stick on tatoes and Bruce Lee posters. Sorry, having a moment here.
This was Kiss in the lean hungry years. I will always love this band, but today's version is more like a fine tuned Broadway show then a real rock concert.
Chest hair has always been acceptable to me and always will be.............nothing hotter than a man with a awesome chest and hairy ...............well at least to me ....lol
i saw just about every band worth seeing in the 70's, and KISS was the highest energy band of the day in my opinion. Not that they had the best musicians, or the best songs, but never did another band rock the fuckin' house like KISS!!!
early kiss 1974/75 and better than all the so called heavy rock bands!!!! Paul's destroyer guitar i think...A roadie dropped it and it smashed!!! Great footage is there any more of the concert?
The thing about Kiss that saddens me even though they are one of my favorite bands is that they rarely play this and some other of the songs from the 1st - Destroyer years that helped KISS get off its feet.
@deadlondonband I wondered that same thing, and spotted your post! Still wondering...inexperienced camera person / people who might not understand how to zero in on the featured action of the moment? @deathbag2000 I'm with you on Gene's bass playing. It wasn't the boring "metal", root note bass playing of the 1980's. He sounds very influenced by the early rock 'n' roll and Motown bassplaying of the '60's but also people like Paul McCartney. Listen to the bass playing on Goin Blind! Perfect showmen (then) Stanley stealing Townsends windmill, which by the way is nuthin more than a theatrical trick. He actualy doesn't touch strings during that windmill, and plays chords with the left hand.
ITS in black and white but it never gets old.P.CHRIS has gotta be 1 of the coolest drummers ever.he used to talk down to himself back in the day saying things like im ok at drums etc.....but what he plays is always such a perfect fit without getting boring.
even back then you can tell gene & paul were in charge. They must of told the tv crew, no close ups of Ace & Peter, cause there virtually werent any. weak
@BeastlyestBeast ~ confession. i used to have several pair of the 4" platforms, which is why i noticed. seen them three times in the early days, nobody crashed and burned. with ace, are you sure it was the shoes?
