we should focus more on the perpetrator who cause 9/11 instead of making halliburton and blackwater rich by bleeding our troops through dead body counts or using the money to paid no bid contrator for wasteful resources.
also, why is that we are paying pakistan 1 billion dollars a year to capture bin laden yet don't demand what they do with the do with the money, also, isn't pakistan suppose to be protecting bin laden in the mountneous region of the pakistan/afghanistan borders?
just curious? why havn't goerge bush declare war, because if he wants to go to war, declare it, like ron paul said, that was why he drafted a legislation that said that we are at war.
why is that the saudi are our friends when 14 of the 19 hijacker came from saudi arbia, shouldn't that said something about the saudi promoting terroism, and if you were to invade a countries, why not saudi arabia?
The President is busy fighting a war in Iraq. You are busy fighting the President. Is that what you want your countrymen to behave in times of war if you would be elected President?
No, that is not what I mean. I am simply pointing out that too many politicians seem to believe that the President is their enemy rather than the totalitarian Islamists who attacked you on 9/11 and still attack your troops in Iraq today. With this in mind, criticism on how to win against this your real enemy should be welcome, but not delivered in such a fashion as to weaken your position against your enemy.
Of course the opposition should be able to criticize the government's policies, but there comes a point when that criticism has gone so far that the country is weakened because of it and the enemy benefits. Responsible politicians in opposition know not to cross that line. Would you?
I believe that what is contributing to the weakening of the United States is its foreign policy, primarily the disaterous diversion in Iraq. That is what is strengthening and benefitting the enemy, and people like Dodd and Wesley Clark, etc. are trying to get the US to change course.
You may disagree with the President's policy decisions, but you must also acknowledge that these constant attacks on the U.S. policies sends a very clear message to the enemies - that the U.S. is not standing firm to it's commitment to fight the totalitarian Islamists. Instead of focusing on winning the war, funds are cut to bleed the troops and embarrass the President, further weakening the U.S. in the eyes of its enemies. This seems to be all about winning the next election, not the war.
The President's policy decisions are a reflection upon the people of America. If he is not reflecting the people of America, than we have every right to let the world know that. Better yet, what is the root cause-- well, thats debatable-- who fueled-- this war? The USA.
Perhaps if the USA actually involved itself in an honest war, its citizens would be behind her.
The President's job is not to reflect the people, but to lead the people. That's what leaders are supposed to do, because they have access to information as a consequence of their position that the masses do not and are therefore in a better position to form policy than the average person on the street.
Who fuels the war in Iraq is fundamentalist Islamists who want to establish a caliphate in that country. If fighting Al-Qaeda in Iraq is not good enough a reason for you to support, what is?
Oh I don't know, the man certainly looks presidential, and Dodd does have the benefits of never having been accused of a hit and run, having a normal family life and as a bonus there are no Chris Dodd drinking games, despite how it might spice up CSPAN.
wow, this commercial really grabs your attention. one of the good things about this commercial is that chris dodd knows where he stands. he is not afraid to say it.

That's a good question. Giuliani doesn't allow comments on his profile page either, but I can see why.

You mean the executive branch is immunized from criticism during wartime? That's quite a blank cheque.

In a democracy, the opposition's duty is to critique the governing party - to shrink from this responsibility empowers the enemy.
