The camera work was understandably shaky, given the collective enthusiasm of the home crowd. But, there were two spots that I was glad had some clarity. The wonderfully synchronized "zombie crouch" at 4:18 plus. And, the feature twirler lighting her torches at 6:41. I swear I could see the reflection of a rooster outlined in red sequins on her costume (lol) !
wow can't believe how small the band is compared to the old days (1987). i hear the quality is good - will have to come see them in person since i can't tell from these online videos.
As a WAD alum, Carolina's Drumline, I like that ya'll shook it up a lttle bit and def was a crowd pleaser. The buzz on campus for the band is really good I have heard so keep it up! I miss the days we would play the real challenging stuff like "Maleguena" or "Phantom", so don't get to caught up on what party song the drunks want to hear. You have a rep to uphold to alums like us and to yourselves, so back it up. But other than seeing how much the band has shrunk, I like what I see!
It was a good and refreshing change to what I usually see in a USC show; however, SCSU is still better when it comes to halftime entertainment in this realm. See you at the game
sorry baldrick, but i have to disagree entirely. im in the band, and since dr. brozak has been here, yes things have changed but the band has so much going for it. the university is in full support of us and our reputation has improved so much. not many traditions have changed.
as for this video, this was the best show ive ever done with the carolina band.
As a Carolina band alum (96-99), I believe this was an extraordinary show. Despite this, I still am pissed off about George Brozak's butchering of the pregame show as well as many of our great traditions.
I was here

I was at Williams Brice when the band played the Motown Medley (I think it was Motown...Whatever the Vandy game was..) and it was really good! :)
Carolina really does have a good band. :)

Change =/= Butchering. Actually, it's a good thing.

When I think of weird and scary, I think of Michael Jackson.
