  • nice sound man ! I'm doing the same set up with BBK X pipe, GT 40 X heads, E303 cam, BBK cool air intake, upper and lower intake, 30LB fule, 70MM TB 76 MM mas air 9MM ford racing spark plug cable and MSD. I think it'll give me about 400+HP

  • reading the info a old lady had this with flowmasters on it?? lmfao that's badass along with the car

  • I have a v6 Mustang I want to pimp out w/ Flowmaster Force II

  • flowmaster 44 all the way!

  • Bought the mustang two years ago from an elder lady.

    Yeah Right!

  • Nice clean crisp sound, hmmmmm yeah!!

  • do you have cats???

  • @shokokrispi its an off road x pipe so there are no cats on it

  • would super 44 sound the same as a fox in a sn95 mustang? same engine 5.0. what do you think?

  • @shokokrispi YES all 5.0 Sounds are same with stock cam

  • Ughhh i want to buy an o/r bbk H or o/r bbk x pipe to go with my bbk shorty headers and super 44s but i just dont know which one to get the X or H....... Which one do you recommend?

  • Hmm will the Force II sound good on an 07 Charger SXT?

  • Spintech Super Pro Street mufflers are the best sounding mufflers...

  • I have shorty super comp hooker headers,mac 2 1/2 " H-pipe,with force 2 flowmaster catback system.Hooker has the rawest sound.and flowmaster too.btw I'd go with the force2 it's more

Mellow until you open it,then it sounds badder than anything.

  • 44's all the way!!! sick ass car bro...

  • Great sound with the 44's.

  • or run both like I do!

  • dude get single chambers, then outlaws yes!

  • will this muffler sound good on a civic 98 lx

  • @Fallout812

    Eh, probably not dude...

  • @jacslx i'm thinking the same LOL HONDA ALREADY SOUNDS LIKE CAR FARTS why the fuck would u need preformance exhaust on it when it comes with it american cars rarly get the option of performance thats what Flowmaster majors in because this is for american cars

  • @Fallout812 nothing will sound good on a 98 civic lx (:

  • @Fallout812 You silly shit, Flowmasters aren't for 4 bang ricers! Just ziptie a coffee can to it and an 8 foot aluminum siding wing! LMAO!

  • @Fallout812 get the fuck outta here, this video isn't for ricers

  • @Fallout812- No it will sound like shit because flowmaster isnt for gay ass ricers!!

  • @Fallout812 i have a flowmaster 60 series catback on mine. sounds good.

  • @Fallout812 a stock muffler will

  • @Fallout812 You could never make a 4cyl sound like a v8. Want the sound get a V8. You'll enjoy passing civics trust me.

  • @Fallout812 Flowmasters are the only way to make a 4-cylinder sound good.

  • @Fallout812 no because its a diffrent engine size, lot of exaust sound great on V8's but sound like shit on other cars

  • Did you purchase the catback or did you buy the super 44 mufflers and tailpipes separatly? I am probably going to buy the catback from summit racing for $450 which is the 409S mufflers and chrome tailpipes. The overall price is not too bad but where did you purchase yours?

  • Thanks man. I just ordered the BBK Ceramic Long Tubes and off road "H". I'll have videos come spring and ill hit you up when its all finish.

    - Joe

  • Long tubes will alter the sound just a little bit, prob not enough to tell. Either way, it will sound great! Good luck.

  • Sounds awsome man!!! I think you just made up my mind. I was going to buy the SLP LM1 but hands down.. love the sound of yours. I am buying the same set up but with BBK Long tubes. Will it sound different with long tubes?

  • supper 44s

  • is there a noticable sound difference in 3" catback vs the 2.5" catback?

  • I think there will be a slight increase in sound with the 3".

  • ok cool thanks

  • @jacslx I have 3" catback with x pipe and it sounds same on my 1990 GT

  • @RGiggi86Mustang50 There is a little more noise, but much more resonance. Pick your poison. If you have converters, there won't be a big difference at all. With off roads, you'll know the difference.

  • Sound GOOD! and you have a nice spot for R&D.

  • Nice! I am considering a set of 44's for my 87 LTD w/EFI 351. I am going to use an off road H pipe, custom mid pipes and these with turndowns, all 2.5". Yours sounds amazing!!!

  • Both sounds great but Flowmaster 44 sounds better (more throaty). Thx for the video!

  • is your car lowered? sounds great, though i like the force II sound better for some reason.

  • Yup. 2" front and 1.5" in rear

  • awesome. Appreciate the help.

  • sounds awesome. I am tossing the idea for flow 40s or 44s on my 79 Z28. Your stang sounds sick. Anything you dont like about the 44s? And issues with the police? Thanks man -Matt

  • No Issues with the Police. I have driven past them many times at about 2200rpm where the sound is the loudest and no problems.

  • i had a 79 z28 a couple years back in high school with 40's and hooker long tubes. sounded real good. idk how the 44's would sound though.

  • my 89 mark 7 sounds exactly like this its got bbk shorty headers super 44s and 3.5inch polished ill post a video responce tomorrow

  • i like the super 44's better

  • Thanks. :) Me too.

  • i couldnt tell much of a diffrence. the supers a tad louder? sounds nice either way.

  • dude that fucking car sounds like Elanor off of Gone In 60 Seconds

  • Thanks dude...

  • Can't beat Super 44s man theres nothing like them..

  • man that shit sounds badd ass!...44's is for me!

  • 44's for Every 5.0!!

  • 44's for me then!

  • Thanks. Any 5.0 will sound awesome with any Series 40 Flowmaster!

  • i got an 89 lincoln mark 7 with a 5.0, but its got bbk shorty headers with 2.5 inch 44 series exhaust with 3 inch chrome tips it sounds just like this. i love the sound its a great setup i highly recomend it for any 5.0

  • those slow five-o's are just getting broken in at 200k, but you're right, it probably isnt wise to rev the piss out of a motor thats almost 20 years old with that kind of mileage on it.

  • are the really just getting broke in at 200.000?

  • LOL sounds good i think i want these and a xpipe, my car sounds like your buddys, i have dynomax race bullets and a hpipe and at half throttle is sounds like an old redneck truck and has no tone just sounds like air coming out the pipes ROFL, but it does sound awesome at WOT

  • The ForceII's sound very similar to the 40's. Now going with bigger pipes will not only deepen the tone it will also make it a tad louder allowing the sound to bounce inside the tips more. 3" will be even louder. Going from 2 1/4 Inch to 3" you will hear a big difference. My philosophy is always go with 2.5" unless you are packing 400hp or more. As for sounding different, eh... to each his own. Some ppl hate the flowmaster sound. Decide what you like best and go with it. Good luck!

  • i think that flowmasters are the best... i have series 40, on my formula with 4" exhaust [check my first vid] and it sounds sick... im planning on buying a 91-93 mustang gt... how much did u paid for flows and pipes? [and if u have headers, too] xD

  • I paid about $80 for each Super44 from Jegs. I paid about $200 for the LX 2 1/2" tips with "FLOWMASTER" laser etched on them from Summit Racing. I scored the BBK O/R H Pipe for $100 used from a friend. The headers again scored for about $100 used. SO right at less than $600 total. Good luck with your Fox buildup!

  • cool man, thanks... as soon as I buy it and start building it, i'll hit you up with my vids

  • Look forward to it!

  • would a 2.5" super 44 catback sound much different than a 2.25" original 40 catback?

  • Thanks, At WOT I take it up to 5000. Even with 200k. :) My roomate had bought a full cat back from Pypes. Big mistake.. sounded like a Redneck pickup truck with cherry bombs when regular driving around. Sounded terrible. AT WOT it had a sweet sound, but only at WOT. Bought a set of 44's three days later. :) hehe oh yeh.. Flows sound good. This Saturday a RAM clutch, a RAM aluminum flywheel, Steeda adj cable with Quadrant and firewall adjuster will be installed. :)

  • clean looking fox you got there. :) yeah I prefer the sound of the Super 44s too. I have a 90 Notch. Bone stock. With 200k miles. Whats your shift point at wot?I don't take mine past 4,200rpms considering the miles. It still runs as good as it was from day 1. Anyways, nice 5.0! This is the way every mustang should sound!

  • Great! Id like to hear it!

  • I just put super 44's on my 03 Stang and it's sounds beautiful.

  • Thanks~I think so too.

  • the super 44's sound a lot better.

  • I am sure different makers of X pipes may sound different. Good luck on your setup, hope it gives the sound you are looking for. Thanks for the compliments. Please, when you get your setup, make a video. I would be interested in hearing your setup. Let me know when you do.

  • I do agree, every manufacturer built their pipes diferent. I like the way bbk or bassani x pipes sounds I have a bk x pipe on my 1995 cobra it sounds awesome, I'm planing to install another x pipe and magnapack mufflers on my 1991 fox and def will be a bbk x pipe.

  • sounds sweet, now put a dr gas x on and it will be perfect imo :)

  • The same Roomate mentioned a post earlier had an x pipe on his GT with the 44's. He has switched to a BBK H, it sounds better IMHO.

  • Not all x's sound good, the crossover needs to be near the front. The only one I have seen like Dr. Gas is from Flotech, most all the others have the x near the mufflers. Dr. Gas sounds like an H down low and like a nascar up top I plan getting this setup on my 89' but dunno cause i need to pass emissions. Yours def sounds great tho.

  • This is my favorite video on you tube. That car sounds soo bad ass!!!

  • Thanks. My room mate has a 91GT Vert. He bought a Pypes cat back. They sound good, (at WOT that is) but when regular driving, they sound like cheap cherry bombs. Really sucked. He got rid of the Pypes mufflers after two weeks, and got some Super44's. He just couldnt get away from the Flowmaster sound. :) Thanks to all who posted Comments.

  • Hell yeah as of before the week ends i will put some super 44 on my 1991 hatchback, love the sound

  • no other car sounds quiet like the 5.0 mustang 4.6 mustangs sound good too. if it was me i would get some cherry bomb glasspacks, longtubes and high flow cats. glasspacks are around $20 or less and they sound real throaty, raspy and the make those pipe rattle and ring.they sound raw loud and not restricted.

  • I have 383 dodge super bee 1969 engine with 400 hp and flow master the cars and msd coil, i have the car in puerto rico state...i wanna move to USA because puerto rico have bad streets the only way is rute 66 with 30 miles in line i top speed in 145 mph and I wanna buy a 5.0 liters is a great motor, I have 318 engine ina monaco and 400 in my other monaco 77 brand new the mustang is a great car!! the 5.0 is better tha the 4.6 yeah

  • Got them from Jegs @ $77 each Flowmaster #389-942548

  • Hey what is the part # for the cat-back you have?

  • Super 44's FTW!!!

  • Yup. 2.5" all the way

  • whats size headers were the shorties

  • 1 5/8 shorties

  • cool... i was going to run 1 3/4 shorties have an bbk o/r h and cut the 40's out of my A/T throw some super 44s in there with an e 303 cam

  • It would sound real mean with that Cam. On my next build Ill put an E cam in. The 1 3/4 may be a tad big. With a mild build, the 1 5/8s would be just fine. I would use 1 3/4 on a 347ci with boost.

  • my typo i meant to say 1 3/4 if i were to do long tubes...im gonn go with the shorties though long tubes are going on the 331 thats going in next... have you heard mac pro dumps in person because im up in arms between the super 44s and pro dumps??

  • Liked the 44's better.

  • Thanks

  • 2.5" tubing right??

  • sounds absolutely grat on drive by right at 2k rpms
