Listen to me....PAY ATTENTION.... Bebe say's:

So, QUIT debating over whether they're American or Iraqi....she includes all of them. Don't argue with people online over something that isn't even up for debate. Pay closer attention and you will hear that she IS saying ALL the casualties. :)

Face up to reality. Americans didn't die in Iraq for American freedom or for the freedom of Iraqis. A few thousand Americans and a few hundred thousand Iraqis died because Saddam Hussein didn't turn over the WMD that he didn't have. They all died because when every piece of the best intel the US turned over to the UN turned out to be bogus no one stopped and said ... "Wait a minute, if this is a slam dunk why doesn't any of the intel turn out to be right?"

I think we need to ask what freedom is worth. Is it worth the lives of those who choose freely to fight for those that cannot? If not, how much longer will freedom last? There's nothing wrong with remembering those who gave everything for our country. We should. But if we are going use this occasion to say that their sacrifice was worthless, then the world can kiss freedom and liberty goodbye forever.  The world tends naturally toward tyranny, not freedom. Freedom is expensive.

Too bad nobody cares unless it is an American who dies. How many tens of thousands died in Iraq before the Americans were there - and elsewhere around the world? Where is the outrage? Where are the squares? Why are we suddenly misty-eyed when Americans die just as needlessly as ten times more Iraqis did under a dictator?

It's a double standard. Are American lives worth more than those of the Iraqis, Iranians, or some other ethnic group?

i went to DC a few years ago and saw the faces of the fallen memorial. it was difficult to even walk through the whole thing. its much different than any other war memorial. seeing the faces makes you understand how real this is. i never thought i would be saying "support the troops" but after seeing that i realize that i dont have to support our reason for war but i can support our troops, the men and women who gave up their lives and those that are still valiently fighting
