What's the big deal? People spend thousands of dollars on cars, and other hobbies- and from what I've seen, don't get nearly as much hate...It's a passion and a hobby for her- and she can spend HER money on whatever SHE chooses to..Just because you may find it impractical to own so much makeup, doesn't mean that she has to feel the same way..Let her have her priorities, and you stick to yours..She's happy, and she's not hurting anyone else by doing this..so I don't see a problem here :)

I budget my money so I can afford to spend it on my hobbies/interests, makeup is of of them, I also budget for paintball, my dogs, bills, food etc. If you set a budget and make sure you stick to it, it works. I also dont waste money on things i don't enjoy like drinking or smoking.

Makeup is her passion. It's not like this is all a waist of money to her, she's investing HER money and time into something that she really cares about and makes her happy. Yeah, all this probably cost a lot of money, but when you see someone driving around in a nice car, or spending their money traveling the world, do you judge them and think "wow they should really invest their money in something more practical." Unless you are a makeup artist or allow the people in your life come and use your products, there is no way you are ever going to be able to use all of that. You said yourself with the lipgloss drawer that you just went through and took out what was still usable..
