  • The majority of entertainers can't even play instruments, they suck when comparing.

  • How is there 22 dislikes? I didn't realize that there was that many frozen hearts on earth. If you can't feel this than you don't deserve to click on it.....ever again!

  • The most important notes are played by those that play the least

  • Whoops, my mistake, it was only dorodog.

  • Why does everyone assert that Willie Nelson wrote this song? Check out Joe Williams singing this with the Count Basie Orchestra. It was written by Leroy Carr and Don Raye.

  • its obvious ppl are brainwashed by all this crap 2day they music.. real music died when we lost Ray Charles

  • R.I.P

from Germany Good bless Ray Charles

  • Thanks for the info dog

  • Another GREAT SONG from the masterful genius of Wille Nelso.

Ray Price, Ray Charles, Patsy Cline, and many others became famous singing Willie Nelson compositions.

This was originally titled Night Life, and was first recorded by a major artist when Ray Price and his Cherokee Cowboys did it in 1963. Willie Nelson was one of the Cherokee Cowboys at that time, and sold this to Ray Price for a pittance of what Ray Price made from it

  • @dorodog This song was written in 1935 by Leroy Carr on Universal, Willie "Nelson was born in 1933 so he couldnt have written this song but you are right about alot of people getting famous off this song including willie nelson. Check your facts on the copy write on this song

  • Another GREAT SONG by the masterful genius of songwriting, WILLIE NELSON.

Ray Price, Ray Charles, Patsy Cline, and many others became famous singing Willie Nelson compositions in the 1950's and 1960's.

This song, Night Life, was just one tune of many to come from the mind of Willie.

  • As close to absolute beauty as you can get...

  • What caught my attention was the camera work. It is a little dark and fuzzy and has some glare. BUT that doesn't matter. The way Ray is framed by the trumpet player, and the zooming in and out to create that soft and hard focus is very effective. In my opinion, the visual effects elevate an already great musical performance to a true work of art. It should be in a museum somewhere.

  • @jhndnlds Not just the cinematography, but the audio mixdown is amazing too. From Ray's voice, but the piano, solos guitar & trumpet and orchestra too. This is indeed a masterwork.

It's up there with the Brubeck live performances for jazz.

  • is the guitar player B.B King?

  • 22 people have a tumor pushing on the frontal lobe of there brain, causing them to be unable to enjoy an amazing, and perfect song. I say thumbs down to you sirs !

  • I wish i was born fourty years earlier...genious

  • to fuck the 22 that did not like ಠ _ ಠ

  • To jacopom95

    Trumpet player is Philip Guilbeau.

  • This is the real shit, folks... Actual music is such a rarity these days,,,,

  • @JoshuaTaylor Totally Agree !!

  • ...AND thinking: i´m tired of beeing lonely... i need a man- a good one!

  • perfect music for making some love!

  • His fingers are just flying over the tips of piano.....

  • one of his best i think ,love that man

  • the only one....!!!!!

  • EXCELLENT!

  • This is actually from the album "Ingredients in a recipe for soul"

  • Is it Sonny Foriest on Guitar ? (Who was A great player & hellova nice guy)

  • how infinitely precious--Ray playing slow blues freely and expansively--you almost can't find that anywhere

  • glenmiller2005, what can I do to be as funny as you?

  • @polacorp just this name " glenmiller" is the answer to your question!

  • where can I download this song, in what album is it? can´t find it, love it

  • @transcendingzero it's called the blues. everyone plays it.

  • awesome performance.. great solos, though I think the guitarist was awful. R.I.P Ray Charles.

  • A giant indeed, but also the trumpet player!

  • who the hell is the trumpet player ? Miles ?

  • @jacopom95 The trumpet player is Phillip Guilbeau.

  • ISSO Q EH MUSICA EU TENHO PENA DESSAS PESSOAS Q CURTI BANDA EMO ESSE ESTILO DE MUSICA ESAT DESAPARECENDO EU TENHO MUITA PENA PQ JAZZ E BLUES E MUITO FODA E EU AMO OS 2

  • if only black people were still as talented and entertaining as this...

  • really amazing....

  • i bet the person who taught the piano could see

and am so sure ray is better than him nd he is blind

he is a definitely a genius

  • @MrGretsch101 hey i listened to your remix. when you mix something that actually has a chord progression you need to make sure the melody and the chords line up otherwise it sounds wrong. Also even if its all cut up you should still be able to tap your foot (or dance) to it, it needs a consistent beat.

  • pls look at my sampled beat of this

    song i promise its good

but not better than the original

Hats off for Mr. Ray Charles

  • hell yeah love the intro

  • we all love him!

  • Oh! Good...

  • Heaven. Three choruses of pure blues from a master. Then, nice harmonies on the horns. Listen to them moan. Long Live Ray!

  • the guitar player's style is a bit plucky isn't it? hmmm

  • Fantastic! a great Rainy Weather tune.. slow & easy. Ahhh to have Been There.

  • this's real music... so real... R.I.P Ray - my hero.

  • I can't tell if I like the guitar player or not. Anyone else thinking that?

  • The sweetest 2 minute piano intro you'll ever hear...!!! Thanks for this post.

  • Ray is do-n his thang ,, however we gotta give it to the guitar man as well (look and listen @2:06) Yes thats alright!!!!

  • Nothng but pure GENIUS****

  • How can one have such mastery of the keys without vision....I have been playing piano for over 10 years and this is just....Amazing is not even the word. Ray was a musical genius of monstrous proportions, rivalled by no musical artist EVER except i'd say...Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart, and Michael jackson.

  • You missed Sinatra in that list bro.

  • @priyothered Ya a lotta people tell me about sinatra but I havn't really gotten into him yet or listened to much of his music, but i know some people live and die by sinatra. Any good songs i should listen to that u'd recommend?

  • @anklebreaka03 Oh, so many. My Way, Strangers in the Night, Moon River, It Was a Very Good Year, That's Life Something Stupid (with Nancy Sinatra), New York, New York

The Cd My Way: The Best of Frank Sinatra could be a good start.

  • Another great lesson about tempo. He keeps the tempo steady and he has great pitch.

  • sweet guitar player

  • Incredible.........I love the old school stuff and Ray is definately one of the GREATS

  • huge

  • Comment removed

  • im not sure if anybody paid attention to the SICK camera production in this clip.

  • Considering the technology of the era, if you see both the Brazil concerts, the director masterfully captured Ray's mood, emotion, band and Raylets!

  • Simply.. AWESOME!

  • man Ray coming with that face contorting stuff on this one...my goodness..

  • None of todays music makes me feel like this, and I tell you it's the best feeling I've ever had.

  • @LeftForBlues

  • @yiohe A national treasure.

  • @aaronoia Not Ray. He did his part to put an end to that.

  • Ray can play the kind of blues that'll bring out the cold chill like none other! Anyone knows the chords for the turnaround?
