  • I was there for this. Just incredible.

  • Es hermosamente increíble!!!!! Me encantaa!!!!!! ♥

  • I love to see the blue Herdim picks near the yellow Muse picks, simply amazing!

  • MUSE are som lucky bastards! To play with the Edge! One of the greatest musicians ever! A true legend and a hero!

  • thats how you do a cameo appearance, Edge=Ledge...nd

  • We saw Muse+The Edge.Now I want Muse+U2 and Muse+coldplay

  • @xtpedro Muse+coldplay? Fuck that.

  • TRULY AWESOME.......

  • This is perfection. There's no other way to describe it. If I was given a choice to go back in time, it would be to go to this performance.

  • If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, watch this video and you shall be cured.

  • Muse + U2 = the most heartening event in modern rock history.

  • Please Muse, you have created so much better music than U2.

At least Matthew has better timing singing, so this version does not suck as much.

  • @pkuppens lol cmon now, u2 is better than many

  • a perfect song, interpreted by a perfect band

  • One word: MAGIC !

  • I heard U2 did a cover of this?

  • @devinslevin i hope your joking. If not, no this was originally U2s song, but muse covered it and got the edge because of bonos back injury :)

  • @daholtyo Haha yeah I'm kidding. I like this version better than the original.

  • omg i love it so much..:D Watching matt being that happy is great^^

  • i feel that this cover is as good as the original version, like the drum parts better

  • edge's voice is dominating in the chorus parts...

  • oh, yeah! this is better!!!

  • How I wish I could have been there to see this, perfection!

  • @bronpotts I was- so lucky. Although I was just stood still in amazement- i was pretty useless.

  • Sorry, Bono. Matt sings your own songs better than you.

  • @melodysymphonystar , if it wasnt for bono he wouldnt sing them at all :)

  • @MurderHD you got a point there, but still. Bono is aging. His voice is not the same it used to be.

  • @melodysymphonystar Yeah your right but im sure u2 as a whole have alot more to give to the music industry before they pack it in .

  • @melodysymphonystar I don't think so. No Line on the Horizon (2009) wasn't really the success of the year. Take The Resistance (Muse, 2009), for example, and I'm sure Muse beat them, worldwide selling speaking.

  • @melodysymphonystar

    I'm sorry

    I'm very sorry

But you just can't go out there and write to some video that someone (Matt in this case) is singing Streets better than Bono.

I don't think I have to argument that.

(and I'm not even trying to be rude, don't get me wrong!)

  • When it comes to the UK, I have no doubt in my mind that Muse has more fans than U2. And for a good reason, too. Muse is a great act without a doubt.

But while I myself am a U2 fan at heart, Muse is easily one of my favorite acts.

  • I love Matt's laugh :)

  • @chaplin1977 That is definitely a laugh of "Wow, is this really happening."

  • My Lord those ranges that Matt takes during the intro are just fucking amazing and the smile on his face when The Edge comes on the stage is just the best moment of the concert for me.When U2 performed it this year I missed Matt's vocal ranges in the beginning ;)

  • now i can die in peace :)

  • ticket to the concert: 120€

    couple of beers: 10€

    matt's facial expression: priceless

  • @tzelpida1977 So let me get this straight, being an American... Muse was playing Saturday and U2 was going to play Friday, meaning Muse is the bigger Glastonbury act? Wow, in America Muse was opening for U2. That's great they got the bigger spot than U2 did! And U2 had never played Glastonbury!

  • @mrscry well, as far as i know, Bono had a problem with his back during the festival, so that's why they didn't play

  • @tzelpida1977 But before the back injury, U2 was scheduled to play Friday, and Muse was booked for Sat. That is a huge compliment to Muse considering Eavis was stating that U2 was going to make it the biggest festival ever... I guess Eavis also knew that Muse had a larger and more passionate fanbase than U2.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrscry talk about passion.... i loooove Muse and i hope more and more people will appreciate and admire them... they are genius!!!!

  • @tzelpida1977 The big reason I want to move to Europe and get out of America is that people's love for good music is so much better over there, even in Greece where you are... I hate being around a bunch of idiots when it comes to music.

  • @mrscry ... welcome!!!! Europeans don't have just a good taste in music but in many other things... just don't make the mistake and come in Greece :(

  • @tzelpida1977 Your the second Greek who's told me to go to a different country, ha ha. I agree, Europe has good taste in many other things compared to Americans... and it's the real stuff, not the superficial stuff like cars and clothes.

  • @mrscry Muse has a larger and more passionate fanbase? HA! I'm sorry, you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @BezerkoTheCow You are wrong... Muse sold out Wembley twice... and tickets sold like hotcakes... U2 would not have been able to do two straight dates at Wembley... and just take a look at how much more excited Muse fans get in conert than U2's fans. It's not even close.

  • @mrscry Did U2 not just sell out the highest grossing tour of all time? Yea I think they did. They played to over 7 million fans in about 100 shows. That's an average of 70 000 per show. I very highly doubt Muse could even dream of doing that. As for wembley stadium? they played that stadium on their 360 tour (most recent tour), and set a new attendance record in the process (88 000+).

  • @BezerkoTheCow In fact, they actually played Wembley back to back and did the same figure for the 2nd show. U2 has been around for a long time and there's a reason for that. Not many bands can still sellout every single stadium show 35+ years into their existence.

  • @BezerkoTheCow I didn't know U2 did back-to-back at Wembley. I was referring to UK fans who attend Glastonbury when I put Muse ahead of U2 in fanbase... I know worldwide U2 wins, but I think Muse has the edge iin passion and number of people who show up in the UK. And it's pretty close right now in a lot of other countries.

  • goosebumps, everytime i hear this

  • @Sjinobi I like the Pet Shop Boys' cover better than this, not that this version isn't great.

  • @alexford01 i have just a eargasm when I think about this performance!

  • @SoerenRock So this is what I missed while I was in jail in 2010... son of a motherfucking goddamn bitch!

  • @grussell900 You can't say that ! U2 is so different of Muse ! The Edge is one of the best guitarist ever, and it's because his music style is the alternative rock, the style of U2 ! If he had played in Muse, his guitar game'll be very different !! it's logically !

  • @waqman that's just his style. I think it suits him.

  • does this muthafucka always have to yodel? We're not in switzerland dude. Can't deny he's a great guitarist though.

  • @waqman His voice is almost always a vibrato.

  • Edge just sounds better in Muse

  • I wish they played MK ultra here :(

  • MU2E

  • @Bass95Liam I see what you did there

  • Remember sitting and watching the bbc show of this on tv at the time. Knew from then that it was something special.

  • so niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

  • does anyone know if i can download this and put it on my ipod, cos i have the originl but this is a million times better!

  • Someone has found love @3:07

  • Muse: better at being U2 than U2.

  • I cried...

  • 12 people lives where the streets have names.

  • Great performamce. It's in a different key.

  • i was absolutley chuffed when this came on as u2 didnt come to glasto 2010 because bono had a back injury, i was delighted, my fave band playing wit my 2nd face bands guitarist! i was dancing like never before, thank you edge and muse for doing this for us!

  • Matt bellamy wow!!!!!!!!

  • N'awwww. Matt looks so happy :')

    This is so fucking epic.

  • ha 1:40 matt reaches for his guitar a couple times and must have rememberes he's not sposed to play it

  • watch?v=_a2Mc_QyS8g

My Top About Muse please watch it

  • Man this is so fucking epic...

  • So inspirational...

The fact that they were in that audience one day and now they are up there, headlining with THE edge!

for me coming from devon also they give me so much hope and inspiration <3

  • I hope everyone who was there is aware of the fact that they had a once in a lifetime experience...

  • this makes me so emotional every single time.

i wish so badly that i was there :(

  • i envy the people who saw this amazing performance

music does not get much better than this!

  • OMG, so cool! I'm guessing Matt was loving this!

  • Wow. just fucking wow. Saw muse at Reading last week, but this easily beats last weeks performance, blown away. Once in a lifetime stuff.

  • @44jogey hmmm, well reading was easily better because of the whole origins of symmetry stage set which was a one off, unlike this was the same as every other of there tour that yeea (except this song ofcourse) Reading 2011 was a million times better!

  • Ta wersja o wiele lepsza. Chociaż uwielbiam U2, to tu z Muse lepiej wyszło :)

  • 12 dislikes muse be tone-deaf!

  • Edge is unique, nobody is able to replace him for an U2's song

  • No other words for this great modern musicians! Muse and the Edge!!! Great!!!!!

  • I wonder why matt is laughing at 3:41...is he just enjoying the moment so much? :) Or did he see something funny?

  • @mrsbookthief I think he saw a funny poster, or something like that. lol

  • Mmmmm Matts vocals at the beginning are delicious <3

  • @spankthezebra Did Matthew have a recent hockey injury? It looks like he's missing front teeth!

  • Pretty awesome performance! Sounds tight. Matt does a great job on vocals but even when singing in a somber fashion there's something about Bono's voice that is unmatched. It's just got so much raw emotion and soul in it. Still this kicks ass.

  • 0:51 is such a beautiful shot *-*

  • hahaha a very Muse version xD

  • that laugh at 3:41 is priceless!

  • Good to see Matt smiling a little. It's a nice break from his usual constipated look. I saw Muse in concert and I'm kind of glad that I didn't sit too close.

  • 1:34 is most adorable smile i've ever seen.

  • These are the rare moments it's worth living for.

  • Look at Matt...he's like a kid in a candy store looking at The Edge @ 1:31.

  • Seriously? How could someone dislike this? It's unbelievable! I'm all for personal choice (and trolls) but-WOW....

  • They brought the Edge because NO ONE ELSE CAN PLAY LIKE HIM!!!

  • @spooked1oo matt can lol

  • matts no bono but he absolutly killed this song

  • 5:31 two legendary guitarist's signature tone going at the same time. How many times has that happened in history? The Matt Bellamy signature tone laid over The Edge's signature delay.

  • ...this is okay...but there is only one streest....the greatest song in history....

  • come on people no one on this planet will do this song justice because it's U2 for god's sake

  • watched a u2 live performance of this song...not even a tiny patch on this!

  • @littleshrimp97 Super Bowl 36 Halftime show. 2002.

  • How can you compare this performance with 30stm, this is epic, I was there and when The Edge came out with Muse it was like planetary alignment. Come on this is the greatest festival in the world not a studio performance

  • @KinorLovesRockMusic You're fucking crazy. I love 30STM but their version is only good. This is Epic. Muse, probably the best rock band in a long long time, covering one of the most emblematic U2 songs, with The Edge playing his signature delay intro? This is way better hands down.

  • @KinorLovesRockMusic Fuck off idiot

  • @deeddog1 sometimes it's just hard to hear the truth.

  • @KinorLovesRockMusic Are you a fucking retard?... come on man!... Matt voice is much better than Jared Letto voice ,Matt voice LIVE is much better than Jared Letto voice LIVE,... i'll make it so easy for you.. MUSE IS MUCH BETTER THAN 30STM... and this cover is much better than any cover or inclusive much better than the original version...

  • @millosmuse I agree with what youre saying, but wow dude watch the mouth and the anger, represent us muse fans smartly next time and not like a douche.

  • fuck 30 seconds to mars! this is muse!

  • @ippimerawr I didn't said "fuck muse" I just gave an opinion.. everybody has their own music style and for me 30stm sounds better...

  • this is good BUT if you really want to hear passion you should look for the cover of "streets" by 30 seconds to mars in the mtv unplugged they did..it's pure "HEART AND SOUL"... worst case scenario you don't like it and loose 5 minutes of your life but at least you'd tried something new...

  • @Cadorien I was going to say the exact same thing

  • @roxygurl08 jaajjaa the unplugged was awesome!! sadly I know mtv cut it a lot!!!! they also play hallelujah and others...

  • oh God, When Gods meet God!!!

  • I think this version of the performance was better than U2's own this year at Glastonbury...

  • oh, Matt. <3

  • yes this was a great performance, and I'm not denying that. But it doesent compare to u2's energy and passion they put into their music. No-one can beat u2 when it comes to their own music. just search their performance at slane castle, you'll cry.

  • epic

  • Muse= live perfomance heaven

  • Stop at 2:08!! Who is this at the front of the stage? Freddie Mercury?? Ah, no, but maybe the only one who will ever be worth to be compared with him...

  • saw both Muse last year and U2 this year, and can say that Muse feat Edge Where the streets have no name was so much better!

  • what a fcuking TUNE

  • Matt has an amazing voice, thats for sure! :)

  • That laugh at 3:40 is just soooo amazing. Matt is one of the greatest people known to human kind, and he's just so cute and amazing and cool and awesome and even more stuff, and that 1 laugh proves it.

  • perchè c'è Edge se no....

mi piacciono i Muse, ma bono non si tocca....

  • In your face Bono!

Muse took YOUR guitar player, and YOUR song and made it a hundred times better!

    HA!

  • I've only watched about a minute of this performance so far and they're already doing the song better then U2 ever has.

  • @GreenGhostGalahad all i want for you is: check u2 where the street have no name ZOO TV SYDNEY!

and u will regret ur commnet;)

tune is epic kick ass but... singer is ehh...bono do it better

  • @moneywood25 is a good live , but not so powerfull like how MUSE make it in this video :D

  • @EternallyMuser ok its powerfull just because muse use more bass + harder drums thats all : P but for an example lol check U2 - where the streets have no name rotterdam popmart (for ultra epic bass line)

or U2 - Even better than the real thing mexico city popmart (for epic drum play) ;D

    anyway im like both band:P

  • I have cried!

  • I would also sing "streets" for Edge if he supports me!

  • This... is... LOVE. Muse are the best freaking band on the goddamn planet!

  • im so euphoric i could cry!!!

  • it's weird to see another guitarist on stage with matt, it's messing with the balance of the universe!

  • I could die after a gig if i had played a version of any U2 song with The Edge at Glastonbury. There would be no other moment such as.

  • I've just seen U2's 2011 version and I think after having performed it so often they were being a bit irreverent with it, e.g. Bono wiggling his arse and singing a bit of Can't Take My Eyes Off You in the middle. Whereas Muse here are utterly sincere, and putting all their heart and considerable musicianship into it. Maybe it's because I love the song that I prefer this straight version. Also, U2's rhythm section seemed a bit, I dunno, weak...

  • i bet that this is matt's kareoke song

  • @Kitty6764 LOL

  • @ryanstalker not to mention the edge is much more alive here than during his performance with u2 in 2011. i mean, he's even jumpin!!!

  • delayed guitar during verses, Edge's backing vocals and Dom's drumming put this much above U2's performance of it this year.

  • @ryanstalker

It was Bono's fault that the performance sucked, he just had to start singing irrelevant shit and change the lyrics so much. But most importantly he sucked because he thinks that it's okay to sing with a shitty voice. I also think that Larry's drumming was superior, the difference is that Dominic and Larry use different drums. By the way that's just my opinion on things.

  • @UncleSamFisher I am a fan of both U2 and Muse, but I can say this beats the original by far.

  • @liamhillmandog

I'm also a fan of both, more of a U2 fan but w/e. This doesn't trump the original but it does trump this year's Glastonbury performance with ease. The thing is that Bono sang it with more emotion back in the day and I mean the late 80s and early 90s. With PopMart it's downfall began. Again just my opinion.

  • @ryanstalker and don't forget Matt's voice ;)

  • @ryanstalker As If!

  • I still say that this must be my favourite version, U2 are really good at it since it is their song, but this was just the most amazing moment ever at Glastonbury and I don't think that the festival will ever see such brilliance again.

  • as GREAT as this was, a better version will happen in a few hours.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame haha u watching u2 at glastonbury now?

  • @globalbattery of course. my prediction is coming true as I type this.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame wow! their performance was brilliant i proper wish i could go to glastonbury one time.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame oh my gosh their playing it now!!

  • 3:04 A BRAZILIAND FLAG OMG WE WILL RULE THE WORLD

  • this was the most special moment of my life tbh. those people who didnt like it. fuck you.

  • The Pyramid stage at Glastonbury is the place where I wanna play a show so f.... bad. I wanna see that sea of people jumping and singing to our music. Every time i see Coldplay , Muse or Oasis play that stage I just get this feeling of 'I know I'm gonna stand there at least on time"

  • 9 people haven`t got a fucking clue lol

  • First band I saw

  • Seeing this, seeing muse do one possibly the best cover i have ever seen, and smiling all the way through it, just proves to me that they are the best band in the world....

  • i will die if i'm not able to see muse live once

  • @ekjenta u will never 4 get it. a..maz..ing !! never really liked muse until i seen them last year in oxegen..... best band iv ever seen

back to Ireland soon i hope :)

  • No me agrada la voz del vocalista de MUSE

  • Girlfriend pregnant, I'm in Dubai, had to give my ticket u this year. Baby is born in October. Will I ever see another Glastonbury? Prob not. But being there for this, makes it all ok
