Thanks for posting. I already discovered that scoring and snapping is the way to go, but that doesn't help with complex cuts around door jambs. I just got done installing, but it was slow and tedious with heavy duty scissors and tin snips. Do you know a fast easy way to make complex cuts?
@lisaluvsjoee the plank allure floors are fantastic, the square version... not so much. but yeah - i love my floors. helps it even more to remember how easy it was to put in!
@ggriffith52 I never found it to leave a rough edge. it snapped off pretty cleanly, and put closely together with the next joint you would never notice even if it did leave a bit of an edge. i never notice any on my floor...
@Russ641 it was a good question... it may have been that one specifically since i did it one handed... but went back and looked at all the cuts all over the floor and don't see any jagged edges. and really - there aren't that many of them.
Wow, in one of his videos he said he paid 40 bucks a carton, and the cheapest home depot sells them now is 57 bucks. That's a helluva jump in price, home depot.

You score from top, not bottom. Scoring from bottom and snapping will definitely leave a rough edge.

Sorry to sound stupid, I just thought the snapped edge looked rough and jagged?

Okay, I understand now. Makes sense. What do you do to smooth the jagged edge so it butts up perfectly then?
Russ641 1 year ago
@Russ - the harder surface on the top allowed for slippage/scratching with the knife. cutting from the back and snapping has left ZERO visible flaws.

Mate, it looked like you scored that sheet from the bottom which when snapped, left a jagged, visible edge?

Lowes has it for 1.07 a square foot. Just under 40 a box.
