The X-files one is that the episode with the fake vampire that is actually a real vampire right? Just out of curiosity what do you mean by smut fix? It's one of those words I don't get like my dad saying "Daily Show is squed to the left" I have no idea what he means by left in the same sense I don't get what you mean by smut. Just the definition I know doesn't make sense in that context.

Smut is usually something obscene or pornographic but I use it to describe soap operas, trashy novels, or gossip news like "E". Kind of stupid brain candy. It has nothing to say and you feel guilty for liking it.

I hear that for life drawing classes that the old, overweight "ugly" people are better subjects to learn on because you get more detail to draw; more complex shadows, folds of skin, discolored skin, scars, etc. But that's just what I heard, I sure a good looking model is nice too ;P
