"we have an actual summer back in the states." It could work. Funny thing is i have seen penpal sites and dating sites and the women around both cities seem to take their fashion and make up cues from the era that "Trainspotting" was set in. Oh gosh, you're so right about Trainspotting! There is plenty of that but thankfully it's not the norm. And hey, that could work for you - it worked with me certainly considering I just spent my summer in Chicago and am flying back to the states next month. I can't stay back home too long!
