@dohoang1 Thank you for taking time to make your comments on my tutorial I hope that you succeeded in putting the lesson into practice. Maybe you will post your new skills.
@MichaelHchannel. Thank you for your comment. My old piano is a Steinmetz - (must be German.) It has always been approximately 1/2 tone below standard concert pitch. It belonged to my Father before me, so it has been around for many, many years. I have seen on the internet other owners of Steinmetz pianos with the same problem. I have just had the piano tuned to exactly 1/2 tone down so that I can raise the pitch with my music editing prog - Sonar. Easier to follow future tutorials.
@forwardtenth Hi David, I found an article regarding Steinmetz Piano Company (manufacturers at 108 and 110 East 129th street, New York). Apparently, they ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy in 1906. "The company was incorporated August 20, 1904, as the Christie Piano Co., with a capital stock of $25,000, and the name was changed to the Steinmetz Piano Co. in July last." (part of the article).
I am a beginner in Piano. Would you please show us how to play the song Besame Mucho? This song everybody know the melody. How to put it with the rhythm on the left hand? Pls make a video tutorial. Tks alot brother!
@sylsof Thank you for your comment and taking the time to listen. I have looked at your work and am very impressed. My "How To" video was not aimed at someone with your talent, but rather at a learner pianist who wishes to improve their latin rhythm. If I may, I would ask you to evaluate my How To vid and tell me does it work ?
@SilentPianoMan Thank you for your comment. I know my piano is approx half a tone down from concert pitch. It has always been this way as long as I can remember. My piano is old ( it was my fathers) Althought I have had its key raised to the correct pitch several times It very quickly corrects itself to being approx One half tone lower. I can see that this will be a problem for anyone who tries to play along with me. My tuner dare not try again as he fears the strings will break. Regards David
@tomclemans Hi Tom. I hope you and Debbie are well. Josie and I have been in Spain for 4 weeks enjoying the sunshine and dancing every night. It takes a while to catch up with all the YT messages. Regards David
@K0rgPA60 Hi Tony. Thanks for the feedback. I tried to explain in a message that the simple rhythm I described in my demo does not work when there is more than one chord change per bar. I will eventually play Guantanamera for you and maybe I will have to take my accompaniment apart for the bars which have more than one chord change per bar. I thought it would be best that you learn to play and become competant at playing the sequence before proceeding. Regards David
@yanman3 Thank you for the first comment. It was most welcome. I recall commenting on your Fats Waller vids a couple of months ago and see you still have not posted more of you playing. More playing from you would be welcome to my ears. What I really need to know, having posted this vid for another You Tuber, who is a by ear player, is does it work? for anyone else but me. Best Wishes David
I am looking forward to listen to your variations on tango rhythm.

Please do! I thought this tutorial was very nicely paced - it didn't drag out the explanation and finished up with a good example. Thanks!
