Actually the alliance to Macedon isn't pointless. They begin the game at war with the Romans. So it can be helpful.

@KurlandHickory Good point.  I didn't really think about that. The more factions at war with Rome the better, as I haven't really seen the A.I. alone get the better of Rome in this mod.
