electro hippies was a class band used to write to andy he is in another band called nightmare visions go check em out l think there are some nightmare visons stuff on youtube....
None of the line up in this video ever joined Carcass. That was Jeff (who left the band a long while before this was recorded, He sang on the split 12" w/ Generic). The above line up is Andy - guitar and vox / Dom - Bass and vox ? Whitey - Drums.
i actually found a place where they sell the only good punk is a dead one....were you really the guitar player for them???? cause if so i bow down to the speed you guys played at...simply incredible...would you mind if i made a proper tribute to the band on myspace?
I have no problem if you want to do a MySpace for the E.Hippies.(Yes I was the guitarist for them.If you check out any interviews with the band I always mentioned my main band that I did-'NIGHTMARE VISIONS' who are still going after 25 years.METAL!!).As long as your myspace isnt like the idiot turds who are blagging people with the other one. Good luck with it mate. Andy.
oh man its going to be a kick ass one dont worry, as a matter of fact i will start today on it....can i just mail you through youtube when its done?...you will the first person i add on there..thanks so much Andy, i really apreciate your consent....
There is a myspace but the people doing it ARE NOT anything to do with the band. They wont let me add them and I was the guitarist!! The 'Only good punk' lp has been remastered and is available on CD from peaceville records.
God, got the E.P. (remember them) upstairs in the loft, got nowt to play it on though. I remember playing Mega Armagedon Death to my kid brother and telling him how fast it was, he thought I was a right tit and dropped the needle back on his Stone roses long player, (trendy git)lit his spliff and sent me packing.
Incredible that someone can even come on here and talk about Green Day. When I was 15 (I'm 34 now) I was writing to the guys (Simon or Andy) and like the twat I am, asking how come they got their words wrong on their Peel Session ('...listen to listen' instead of '...learn to listen...', can't remember which song!).This music was pure unadulterated hardcore. I'll end now by saying that Electro Hippies were the epitomy of 80s UK hardcore.Green Day has no place here. Fuck off.
...and wearing a 2000AD Halo Jones t-shirt! I just had a 2000AD one...classic blast from my teenagedom, never saw them live either. chickens walk and chickens talk and chickens like to scratch the ground...
what a tw*t electro hippies proberbly started the genre of hardcore as much as napalm death nothing like green day,get one of there albums, ace video by the way any more?
Not hardcore, hardcore had been around for years before they started. Though you can't tell from this clip these guys had a much larger influence on grindcore.
Hello Andy - this is Raymond Longster. You wasted far too much of your youth hassling me on the Lancashire moors - your clan of brothers reminded me of the 3 stooges and the only effective hunt saboteurs came from Liverpool!
Hi Andy, well, you won't remember, but we wrote to each other in the good old days - I cringe when I think about writing to you to ask you did you realise you sang "listen to listen" when it should be "learn to listen" on the Peel Session recording (I think?!) and also some other stuff that as a 16 year old I thought was important. As a 35 year old I still find your music important - I picked up your live EP on vinyl in Brighton for £3 just the other day. Electro Hippies are legendary. Dan(Sig)
no, jeff estuvo en la primera alineacion, para el The only good punk... despues quedaron como trio, nose si el bajista (bruno) es el que quedo cantando. Pero en este video estan como la alineacion del "play fast or die".
were it at looks like wigan den!:-)
