Yes, you're absolutely right. I just happened to be watchign God tv, and one of her songs came up, 'hallelujah', which I listened to and thought it was really good. Then went onto the interent, saw that she is a christian, so I thought, this is good, and then I saw the all-seeing-eye on her t-shirt, on the album cover, this one in this video. Very very worrying. I just think "religion" helps keep that relationship alive if we understand what the "religion" means. You're right, it is a relationship, but I can't see myself being able to keep that relationship strong if I didn't take some time out of my week to go to church, reflect, pray, praise, worship, and do the traditions of out ancestors - I understand their meaning, so it helps me to reinforce that relationship I want with Christ. May not be the case with everyone, but that's the way it is for me.

And no, the "All Seeing Eye" is not a Christian symbol. It is a symbol used by occult organizations and secret societies such as the Freemasons and the Illuminati. Why do you think artists like Madonna and Lady Gaga use this symbol? Not because they're praising God (obviously their music has nothing to do with God) but they use it for occult purposes.

My guess - I think that wearing this shirt goes to show people not to be too curious and mind their business. I think most poeple just need to chill and leave some artists alone. For instance, Krystal Meyers, wears a shirt with a word "Buddhist" written on it, but I still don't thing she's a hypocrite. And what's that you say about Madonna's music not having anything to do with God? I thought she's a jew or something, which probably makes her a religious person.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I just happened to be watchign God tv, and one of her songs came up, 'hallelujah', which I listened to and thought it was really good. Then went onto the interent, saw that she is a christian, so I thought, this is good, and then I saw the all-seeing-eye on her t-shirt, on the album cover, this one in this video. Very very worrying. She says she is a christian, and is even featured on God tv, yet this symbolism shows the opposite.

@princessliz15 - I think you missed my point. I was trying to say that just because a song does not mention the name of God, does not mean it is automatically not Christian. I love it when they do mention God, but it's not an absolute necessity. Kutless is great, but so is Skillet. Skillet's "Better than drugs" doesn't mention God directly, but the way they're talking, it's pretty clear they're saying that God is better than drugs (or anything else this world has).

The eye on the shirt is the "All Seeing Eye," which in Christianity is known as the Divine-eye of Providence - It represent's God's omniscience. It was a common symbol in the early church, and still is in the Eastern churches. And the Freemasons are a God-fearing organization, they forbid atheists from joining as the "scourge of the Earth" and repeatedly refer to God in their literature. I'm glad you like the song, and I worship Christ too, she probably doesn't even know what the symbol means.

Less than 50 years after Christ's death, the Apostles had to warn Christians of false teachings about Christ that the Gnostics and Aryans were propagating. We organized into churches to provide communities to focus on Christ,we made traditions to anchor truth in our lives.We need religion because we can't always remember the"one way, one truth, through Jesus Christ,"that God created.

Yeah, but religion isnt the same as community, they are totally different, God wanted us to have RELATIONSHIPS with people, friendships, thats what we were created for, created for a RELATIONSHIP with God, but then sin came into the earth and destroyed that connection and blocked us from having that relatonship, but then God sent his ONLY son Jesus into the world to live a perfectly spotless, sinless life so he could die on a cross for our sins so we could have forgiveness and that relationship

I just think "religion" helps keep that relationship alive if we understand what the "religion" means. You're right, it is a relationship, but I can't see myself being able to keep that relationship strong if I didn't take some time out of my week to go to church, reflect, pray, praise, worship, and do the traditions of out ancestors - I understand their meaning, so it helps me to reinforce that relationship I want with Christ. May not be the case with everyone, but that's the way it is for me.

so i read most of the other comments here and i coudnt be more disgusted by some of the things coming from "Christians" Yes, God does care how you dance and what you do with your talents. But that doesnt mean you have to sing about Him ALL the time. Shine is about shining for God. Pretty Christian to me. And about crossover music. Jesus Himself said "it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick" He also told us to GO INTO the world. So all the artists doing both are following Jesus.
