Man I really think you should take some of their advice and rethink the musicality of this study. Sure you played it 'a tempo' but what good is a study at 132 bpm if you didn't even try to show any of the dynamics, articulation and phrasing. Sure you have the technique for this study down pat, but it is far from what I would call a stellar performance. Slow it down, play the accents, don't ignore the staccato markings and for god's sake keep your eighth note even, metronome buddy. Keep workin.
I'm not trying to start a debate with you over this i was simply pointing out how the music could be improved - grow up and don't try to taunt me like an 8 year old.
You're playing way too fast and missing all of the musical concepts these etudes are asking - Dr. Caravan wrote a 2 page introduction to the book so users will understand its methodology and get the most valuable experience from utilizing it. The entire purpose of the book is to develop musical phrasing and melodic direction in your playing, not to set speed records. You need to be able to play with a full rich sound throughout the range and should take it at a tempo that allows you to do so.
musical concepts are for pansies!!! real players that have grown a pair learn to do it "a tempo." which im sure is "CONCEPT" that you've never reached. thats what separates the mediochre from the "fast and the ALL FURIOSO." pun intended. play it and post it how it should be done or quit bumping your gums.
I'm sorry, but those lacking musical concepts are what separate the truly talented and succesful musicians from the average joe players. They are the differences that can determine whether you keep your job or lose it to the guy who is more musical. All the best players today are musical while still playing fast. After all, being MUSICal is kind of the point of performing MUSIC.
