Awesome movie. I recommended it to my kindergarten teacher when we did a penguin unit in our science time. From then on up until I moved away in 5th grade, she had me bring in that tape so other kids could watch it. I used to get such awesome goodies from her each year as a thank you gift, since the penguin unit was done around January, it was like a second Christmas. I sure loved this movie and I think I have a copy of the tape somewhere.

To kiki4rich. yes this movie was sold by soviets, they released it in 1986. Original version differs in names and some scenes. Soviets version was more realistic and with some blood scenes . The English version cuts out most of the violent scenes from the original, including the death of Scamper's father (which is not even mentioned in the English version). Here is some names (in brackets soviets version name) :Scamper (Lolo);Snowflake (Pepe);Louie(Mak) . One of best my childhood's cartoons.
