great, legal hit, rinaldos feet might hav left the ice before contact but it was too close and it all shoulder so clean hit in my book, not a great fight but good on penner for sticking up for doughty and good on rinaldo for answering the bell, rinaldo has really turned around his game, much more disciplined, he has drawn like 4 more penalties than he has gained so far this year, plsu his skill isnt bad at all, not a liabilty in that sense, very entertaining player and an asset on the 4th line

@buttkick22 i wouldnt go that far, rinaldo is much more skilled and he has actually drawn like 3 more penalties then he has gotten, hartnell is more of a liability, but check shelleys fight resume last year, he started off w/ a win over rupp and then a draw w/ parros before losing 3 in a row but he picked it up at the end of the year, he finished the year w/ 8 straight fights that were either wins or draws vs opponents like thornton (2), king, westgarth, neil, yonkman, boyle, he can still fight

@Flyers20Fan i wasn't knocking rinaldo at all. He should always play over shelley......i wouldn't name guys like neil, yonkman (even though he's huge), and boyle when trying to make ur point lol. No offense.....i guess he can still hang. But he's been going down the tubes the last few years. Barely winning 50% of his fights. Since 07, he's been taking some bad beatings. I don't see him playing much this year with rinaldo around (not saying rinaldo is a heavyweight). He'll be gone soon.

@buttkick22 i wasnt bragging about those opponents, i was just naming them and i would consider neil a pretty tough guy, even tho hes only like 6'0 or 6'1' hes not an easy win at all, and shelley beat on him in that fight, but he edged westgarth in my opinion and completely controlled the 2 fights with thornton, one was more a draw but the other was a win and he just seemed to be in control the whole time, he drawed with king and parros and beat rupp, he can still be an effective enforcer

Don't fire on rinaldo... the hit was clean, NO charging lol ( doughty should be happy that rinaldo took his balance to the back foot) and i don't know much about this instegator rule but rinaldo clearly didn't ask for the fight. He didn'T drop his gloves first or at the same time and just because he was beatin the hell out of penner that doesn't ignore the fact that penner forced the fight after a CLEAN hit.

@WhaleRider86 he would be but assuming shelley gets in the lineup when his suspension is over or when schenns called up, rinaldo is the odd man out, he has actually been great from training camp thru preseason and so far this season, he has drawn much more penalties than he has gotten, he is much more disciplined and doesnt hav bad skill either, hes a good energy player that is one of the best open ice hitters i hav ever seen and can fight if needed, he will make a name for himself eventually
