  • OMG ..Youtube has EVERYTHING! I haven't seen this commercial since it came out! :O

  • Im gonna try that with my teacher...

  • And then he took him inside and molested him

  • the gayness of this commercial is enough to make Richard Simmons blush.

  • Fuck! This reminds me of how intellectually paralyzed I was within the web of 80's commercials advertising their messages in between cartoons during their break. As an avenging gesture of retribution, I would like to propagandize my ideas of critical thinking to the grandchildren of the architects of this 80s mind control commercial/experiment and distort their minds to follow whatever propagandized material I can devise according to the technology that I find available. And one day I'll work.

  • In my Carlton voice, "Mister Robinson, Mister Robinson!"

  • carlton lol classic

  • I love being Mormon. *does the Carlton dance*

  • @PrincessDramatic You won't after you die.

  • @thermionic1234567 Frankly, its just your opinion of things. I'll leave it at that. <3

  • @PrincessDramatic Read the Bible and see for yourself that Mormonism is disproved just a little more every day. Book of Abraham is a total fabrication to start.

  • Omg this is AWESOME

  • Uncle Phil would be so upset that Carlton broke the window...

  • Too bad joseph smith never told the truth. Maybe thats why him, young and hinkley r sitting in hell now wondering what they were thinking.lmao@ mormons

  • @chauncy817 Right on, bro!

  • holy crap! I never realized the kid was carlton!!

  • Mormonism just got shoehorned in there at the last second, somehow.

  • Well, this explains the musical

  • I want the PRJUDICE one! "FOR YOU THINK OF HIM AS YOUR JEWISH FRIEND AND NOT YOUR FRIEND"

  • was that carlton? ahem alfonso riibiero?

  • This was what? 10 years after they allowed blacks in the church?

  • @TheBravoFour Obviously, you are misinformed. Blacks have always been allowed in the church, and even crossed the plains into Utah with the rest of the Saints. Read up on your information before you post your ignorance on the internet. :)

  • @kaileysbaer Your right, I miss spoke, They weren't allowed in PRIESTHOOD till 1978.. Curse of Cain and all that.. Such a enlightened church.. and you speak of ignorance. Saints haha..

  • Whooo broke my windooooowww....figarooooo....8-7-7 CASH NOOOWWW!!!!

  • Interesting, I had not seen this in at least twenty-five years. I don't agree with the LDS church, and their beliefs, but regardless, the quality of this old ad is amazing. Growing up in the Bay Area in the 1980s, this seemed to air at least once a day...

  • Comment removed

  • It did, didn't it? KBHK TV44...along with the Shriners Hospitals/Looney Tunes kitchen safety and Dick Van Dyke house on fire PSAs

  • Why don't the Mormons play hockey? I'm serious, they should!

  • @WingDiamond I am a mormon, and we DO!! play hockey. I dont know where you heard that we dont, but we DO!!

  • @missphanofphantom Goodie! Now maybe you can get an NHL franchise in Salt Lake City and college programs in BYU, Utah & Utah State (the Utah State Aggies ... USA) and some dudes on the US Olympic Team!

  • @WingDiamond Ummmm I'd rather not........you know since I live in New Zealand Xp and me personally, at the moment only care about rugby, since its the rugby world cup.

  • I use 2 love this commerical!!

  • Carlton Banks broke the window!

  • And the old crutch had the black kid thrown into jail for criminal damage

    The end

  • @TubeNumber1USA

Are you going to delete this one too?

  • Of course the black kid broke the window. Do you know what the crazy ass morons... *clears throat*... mormons think? They think that dark skin is a curse for dissobedience and that through good acts, you will become whiter. Guess MJ didn't touch them little kids, eh?

  • @atheist4all2see

you are a dullard... Clears throat... naw... you just straight stoopid.

  • @Sk8er408 It was not until 1978 that church President Spencer W. Kimball, without even an official doctrine, declared that he had spoken to god and that god now said blacks could be full members now if they were worthy. This, even after decades of racial bashing by such people as the darling founder, Joseph Smith. Prove me wrong, and I'll admit that I am, as you would say with your second grade education, "stoopid". I will never understand how people can argue with documented facts. Jackass.

  • @atheist4all2see

It had nothing to do with full members... as they already were. It had to do with the priesthood. LDS died because they were not for slavery in Missouri... You are right... you are not Slightly Stoopid... you just a dullard.

I dont understand how ignorant people can act like they are in the know.

  • @Sk8er408 As far as I know, the possibility to become a priest is full membership. And even that's a step up from the racists like Joseph Smith, and many other earlier mormons. Just because things are better now doesn't mean they were always so. Seriously, do some research on the earlier prophets etc.

  • @atheist4all2see

One of JS best friend was a black man... so your claims are just that... and becoming a priest has nothing to do with full membership. Baptism is it... Better now? Do you understand why there is a Southern Baptist Church?

THe earlier prophets did not believe anything anyone esle did... and they still accepted the black people unlike the main stream christian churches.

  • @Sk8er408 Really? You're going with the "one of my (or Joseph Smith's) best friends is black" defense?

  • @trjones1

That is not a defense... it is the turth... just like them being murdered legally in Missouri for their anit slavery views... why dont you google extermination order and governor boggs. It they would have stayed in Missouri it would have become a free state.

  • I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and proud to admit it. Speak up if any of the rest of you are, too.

  • I would elbow the old creep in the balls, accuse his of fondling my ass, and sue him for everything he's worth.

  • @MondoBeno Hello, this is a clip about honesty. It teaches about good morals, and you can appreciate that. Just lighten up, will you?

  • I went through and disliked all the MormonMessages videos myself. Every comment that speaks against the Mormon religion, or has something bad to say about the video, is denied. Way to impair free speech Mormons.

If they have to post of YouTube to get us to take them seriously, they're doing it wrong.

    You're doing it wrong, Mormons.

  • Mormon Religion = Bullshit

  • @ButThePRIZE Clearly, you don't understand us.

  • @08skydancer

I'm sorry let me rephrase that...

    Religion = Bullshit

  • @ButThePRIZE Why are you so opposed to religion? What's wrong with it?

  • @08skydancer

I'm opposed to it for many reasons. A main reason though is growing up Catholic I discovered more evidence to disprove god then there is to prove him. Have said that there is no prof of the existence of God.

Let me ask you this do you believe in Odin? Ra? Zeus? I'm going to guess you don't. Before the Christianity People believed in these gods just as much maybe even more then God of today. What makes them false but yours real?

  • @ButThePRIZE There is more evidence of God's existence than you realize. You just haven't noticed it, or else you've looked at it the wrong way. For one thing, there's this world and the universe. It's all structured too well to have appeared at random from thin air. Matter cannot be made from nothing, nor can it be destroyed. Furthermore, if God did not exist, how is it we can think and act logically? Where does all this wisdom come from? As a wise man once said: "I think, therefore God is."

  • @ButThePRIZE I'll say just one more thing before I take my leave. You're free to believe what you like, but don't go around lambasting others who believe in God. Hopefully one day, someday, you will change your mind about religion, or you will at least understand us better and not be so critical and judgmental.

  • @08skydancer What's right about it? Placing your faith in something that you cannot prove to exist, and even attempting to prove it existed is an affront to said unprovable being. It's just a remnant of a society in which we couldn't deal with not knowing things, so 'god' did it, now we have advanced science far enough to start actually looking into these phenomena religion is holding everything back!

  • @rileyMcjew And what's wrong with religion? Even if you don't believe in it, you can't deny it does teach people to live an honorable lifestyle: telling the truth, treating others with respect, etc. Anyway, you believe what you want, and let the rest of us do the same.

  • @08skydancer Well you can deny it, because on the flip side.. it also causes all sorts of terrible acts; suicide bombing and the belief in 'martyrdom', a feeling of elitism within a certain sub section of society over others, restriction of scientific progress.. religion's all based upon individual interpretation, and the rest of the rational world gets annoyed because the only thing you should be basing your life, that of others and of our Earth, is hard empirical evidence.

  • PLEASE DO NOT READ DONT READ THIS PLEASE DO NOT READ DO NOT READ DO NOT READ swear do not read...I don't even know why I'm participating I guess I'm still a bit paranoid. But really do not read this I swear . Also thanks this was really appreciated. DO NOT READ:This is so stupid... But i love my mom deeply... And i don't want to take any chances. Sorry. If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hour etoobu

  • "Our kids these days, they don't care!" Not true Mr. Robinson!

  • Hah! Hah! Adorable commercial! I didn't think I would find an opera when I clicked on this!

  • Strange how these commercials never convinced me to convert.

  • *Does the Carlton*

  • Carlton Banks!

  • He's so mad, I'm really scared!

  • I broke me winder

  • I remember this from back in the day ... lol i had no idea this dude was black

  • Crazy how they speak about telling the truth yet they lie to people everyday

  • Crazy how they speak about telling the truth yet they lie to people everyday...heresy

  • I fucking HATE the Mormons but this is a cool commercial. And of course, the racist pig fucker Mormons made kid who broke the window black, what a shock, racist Mormon Prop. 8 passing, bigoted, homophobic pieces of shit. The fucking Mormons wouldn't let blacks be priests in their church until the late 1970s. How sick do you have to be to be a member of this sick, racist, bigoted, homophobic church? Joseph Smith was a con man and a racist pedophille pervert. Fuck him and fuck Bringham Dumb.

  • @Satchel334 easy to call mormons racist, people seem to forget that until the same time, christian seminaries were often all white and congregations were segrigated. all of america had some sort of racist views.

  • wat

  • Felony assault? Give me a break.

  • This is soooooo much better with the 1911 option.

  • what the hell does this commercial have to do with a religion church? rofl.

  • Funny how the adult commits felony assault while violently grabbing the childs are. LOL

  • @aaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaa no he didnt idiot

  • If the Mormons can let Alfonso Ribeiro off the hook, they can forgive Brandon Davies.

  • race relations would be so much better if we all just sang to each other

  • This commercial was the best!!!!!

  • ... is that Carlton???

  • @shagel7 yes!!!!!!

  • @73scorpion73 *silent squeal* :D

  • That was scaaaaaaaary! D:

  • Lol, mormons telling the truth? That's a laugh.

I've never once debated a mormon who was honest about Blood Atonement, Polygamy, Child Molestation, Massacre, Dannites, Blacks not being allowed to attain the Priesthood until 1978.

Or how you cannot get to the highest level of heaven if you don't PAY ridiculous tithes, Get sealed in Masonic Rituals, Do good Works?

Never trust a conman! Joseph Smith was a liar!

  • @kungfujellybean Dude, just b/c you think they're lying doesn't mean they are.... man, I've never heard someone so full of themselves.

  • @weeble4444 ...THINK they're lying?

Really dude? I've personally witnessed Mormons lying directly to my FACE! Lying to me over the internet. Lying in their sermons. Lying about this, lying about that.

Essentially what you're saying is that I am a liar, in which case, feel free to engage in a debate or conversation with LDS and you'll see exactly where I'm coming from.

    That is all.

  • lol

  • Where the hell is the LSD?!

  • look at alfonso from fresh prince of bel air!!! this was one of my best commericlals, i knew it word for word. my other was wheres the beef? with the old lady

  • "Aah! Whoo broke my windooow?"

  • and oh did he pay for it.. 5 years of preforming sexual favors or mr. robinson and the priest to be relieved of his sins

  • that guy scared me when he grabbed the kids arm.

  • lol i like the ending "from the mormons" XD

  • FUCK!

  • Its nice the LDS is letting in coloured people now.

  • I love it! I actually thought about it anytime I wanted to lie when I was a kid.

  • I have had this song in my head from this commercial for years. Any time I see a broken window it comes into my head. I forgot it was Alfonso Ribiero! Awesome.

  • LDS IS A LIE

  • @EpicLeafNinja

what makes you say that ?

  • Jesus FTW..

  • Omigosh that is incredibly dorky, but I love it!

  • "Mister Robinson.... Mister Robinson.."

  • Is That carlton from fresh prince telling the truth

  • Trapped In The Closet: The Prequel

  • dunno why but the kid looks like MJ

  • A black kid in a Mormon commercial? This commercial must have been filmed after 1978 lol

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear An idiot on a collection of computer programs and connections that contains inappropriate content like pornography? This comment must have been typed after a backwards anti-muslim church who have had a massive series of child sexual abuse charges brought against them left the dark age and found that binary works better then stone carved roman numerals.

  • @davedavedaveannoy1 You mad bro?

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear No, I am irritated that you discriminate against one religious organization without considering all the others have done in the name of god. Sure, I understand that preventing black members from holding the priesthood was terrible but it has been corrected, and now the church has reached out to hundreds of different kindred, race, and culture and there are many spanish leaders in the seventy plus a few blacks. Other churches have done far worse, yet you target them. Why?

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear haha i read that and laughed : D after 1978 most Definitely lol

  • MOR[M]ONISM

  • :) thats fun

  • Man, I totally forgot everyone sang instead of talked back in the 80's.

    HE TOLD THE TRUTH!!!

    (Claps and curtain falls) LOL..

    Love this commercial

  • @Mahlercougar "the stuff from which HEROES are made!"

Thanks for posting! In 25 years I could never quite figure out just what he was saying at the end.

  • Years ago when I was a little girl watching TV in the 80s,there were certain commercials that seemed to Burn in my memory and this is one of them.Whether you are Mormon or not the message was clear; honesty, honor. It was so endearing,I remembered the dialog even to this day without hearing it for almost 20+ years.Im so glad you posted this

I can rest easy tonight :)

    (Mr Robinson)x2

  • A message to you from the church of the honorable dirty as dishrag ass Bernard DeLury, Atlantic county superior court, Mays Landing. Chas Palmentiere A Bronx Tale "now ya's can't leave" ohh noo

  • notice how all their 80's commercials were centered around lieing, hmm interesting *cough* joseph smith lied *cough*

  • @skweekyd Need some cough medicine.

  • uh, the black kid did it

  • I never knew that was Carlton!

  • This classic commercial is as 80's as it gets....

  • The cursed dark skinned people in the book of Mormon does not refer to African Americans! At the time, African Americans weren't even on the continent; the men in the Book of Mormon were alive in the Americas hundreds of years before Columbus! The dark skinned people weren't cursed because of their skin but because of their wickedness! Their curse was the darkening of their skin! The message in this video was honesty.

  • @MrPougles "The cursed dark skinned people in the book of Mormon does not refer to African Americans!" Thanks for that clarificatoin! Yah, the Afrcian Negro Race received their curse from before they were according to Mormon teachings!

  • He looks a lot like Chris Paul.

  • If only the church leadership can tell the truth everything would be fine.

  • GREATEST COMMERCIAL OF ALL TIME.

My god, these LDS commercials tormented me as a youth. They were on CONSTANTLY!

Mr. Robinson, Mr. Robinson! What a horrible mess! I broke your window with my ball. You? And I've come to confess.

    I have this thing memorized.

  • Stop Snitchin'!

  • Oh my! That is so BLATANTLY racist. Okay, so the black boy told the truth but the underlying message is clear. Black kids are inherently bad and need to be schooled in the art of telling the truth. Shame on you LDS!

  • @brigantia63 Briggy!!!! It's me Rastacat!

  • Well helloooooo there Rastacat! :-))

  • @brigantia63 meow meow.

  • @brigantia63 No doubt, he's the only black kid among all whites and of course it's his fault... but dark skinned people are cursed according to their holy book, and were not allowed to hold the priesthood until 1978... Shame indeed

  • @marcio3santos A restored gospel takes a while to be fully restored on the earth. the word of wisdom wasn't introduced until about 20 years after the restoration. It was because god wasn't going to blow the full gospel on everyone when they wouldn't be able to handle it. It would be impossible to have Blacks hold the preisthood during slavery, because by law, they had no rights. LDS members are encouraged to abide by the law. There's a time and a place for everything, and 1978 was the time.

  • @again748 Quit throwing all that godsmack at everyone. You seem to forget that Illinois, Iowa and Utah were not slave states or territories? So how the fk couldn't they not handle it? B. Young kicked black people out of the church anyway. And 1978 was 14 freaking years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act.... Pathetic

  • @marcio3santos Just because a law was passed doesn't mean people obeyed it. Heck, think of the persecution they went under at the time. all the "Whites are better" folks would have literally murdered them for putting them in the same meeting house. Now, I'm not throwing anything at anyone, I probably should have known better to talk religion at youtube. we all know were that gets us. I guess I'll take my leave, now. Have a good week. Be kind to your neighbor.

  • @brigantia63 You could put it that way, or you could put it as the black kid was stronger than everyone else so he hit a home run and accidentally broke someones window because it was still flying with so much force.

  • @masterskyrunner I have put it that way for a reason. We all know, even over here in Europe, that the mormon church is racist, sexist, mysogynistic, controlling, mind-messing, family killing, necrotistic, lying cult. The black kid was not, in my opinion, a token one, strong or not. We all know about the so-called curse of Cain? Which, incidentally, Biblically, was supposed to protect him from revenge and was in fact, not a black skin but a 'mark'. A bit different lovey.

  • @brigantia63 Back then, marks could be big or small (if not them, then who has the mark?). Did you know that only the Levites had the priesthood back in Moses' time? We aren't sexist, only men are allowed the priesthood because women have many responsibilities as well, if they add on the priesthood, that wouldn't be right. That should be family-building. No idea where you got necrotic from. And define cult for me.

  • oh my gosh, I haven't seen that one in years...

  • for real this suck

  • wow.. this takes me back , I never realized that was Alfonso Ribeiro though

  • @Tha4thLetterr This commercial is just one of those things which gets stuck in the head, but I had no idea it was Alfonso either!

  • Comment removed

  • really cool!

  • from Fresh Prince

  • alfonso ribero

  • I love this.

  • I've never forgot this commercial... " I TOLD THE TRUTH"

  • i cant believe i found this video! i have been telling my 9yr old about this commercial so much that i have her singing the ï told the truth" part! i loved this commercial when i was younger. wow, i luv the internet!!!

  • This is one of the three LDS PSAs I remember most...this one, "Never Tell A Lie", but I would LOVE to see the one with kids out playing in the mud with the water hose...then their dad catches them and they think they're about to get punished...and then dad gets in on the act.

  • Even before I saw the Pepsi commercials, this was what introduced me to Alfonso Ribiero. At the same time, this where I first heard of the Latter Day Saints. Had no idea what it meant...however, I can say that 25+ years later, the LDS made some of the best PSAs EVER!! No, I'm not a member, and I'm not particularly religious, but some I like to believe that some values are universal regardless of one's faith...and the LDS's ads have stood the test of time!

  • If the ball is on the outside wouldnt it of came from inside?

  • You're right, I never thought of that, he was framed all along

  • @fictionnation of course they framed the black boy!!!! lol

  • Does anyone have the commercial when the boy want to go camping with his father? I remember it when I was around 5 or 6, and I'd love to see it again!

  • I never ever seen this b4 even at the LDS church

  • hay que bonito jejej

  • The 80s were just so darn great! I love it!!

  • WOW, this commercial bring me alot of memorys for I was in it, very nice,,, I just wish everyone from the commercial can have some kind of reunion even if just to say hi,,, you never know we might even update our who broke my window commercial. Or even get togther one day???

  • @willrodtam ???

  • Yeah tell that truth! GO! Carlton GO!

  • How many of us loved these commercials but never knew they were religious Mormon ads?! LOL
