  • Oscar can be a real douchebag sometimes

  • @MrJohnnyv1993 i agree with you, i am so glad Elmo wasn't around when i was growing up :D

  • This is a classic. I agree... Elmo can take a hike. Old school Sesame Street cannot be replaced.

  • a pleasure to watch this on a special christmas Eve.pariently the purpose of christmas is the time we celebrate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ and we tell story about the bethlehem, the shepherds and the wiseman.

  • Watching this makes me wish I could've visited 1970's New York City. I was born in 1979, a year after this special was taped and aired.

  • When I was a kid when Big Bird was on the roof, and when he fell asleep, they played that music.. and it scared the crap out of me lmao

  • @wildcats8530 Me too! I was afraid to go to sleep one night because I thought Santa might come in and watch me sleep. Scary.

  • @wildcats8530 Same here! It gave me shivers.

  • @wildcats8530 yeah it scared me too! the music was a bit creepy and the fact it looked like someone was walking up to big bird and when he opened his eyes the mysterious person was gone.

  • Why can't the new Sesame Street be as great as the old one? Heck, even at 15 I learned some things from it, like from watching them skate at the beginning I figured out how to skate, and I learned a bit of sign language as well.

  • @ 7:14 "I think I froze my giblets." LOL

  • @ 0:21 Shaving cream. Ho, Ho, HOOOO! Santa would reeeealy appreciate that!

  • Where is Luis? I know this must have been filmed in the early 80's because Snuffy is visible. Luis was there at that time, so where is he?

  • @littlehouse15 This is from 1978 actually.

  • Ok cookie monster needs some serious help, he hasn't eaten a single cookie and he's eating everything in sight.

  • @MrJohnnyv1993 I couldn't agree more

  • I can tell that this is a mid to late 80s airing because the 1984 PBS logo is used at the end of this instead of the 1971 logo that was initially used when this special first aired in the late 70s.

  • I bet Carroll stayed warm inside his costume.

  • Seriously? Cookie Monster really eats everything.

  • Shaving Cream LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cookie Monster needs Tums at 12:58.
