i've actually got two identical shells, and on one I did spray several layers of flat black on the inside, but that heats the car up considerably during the day, so i use the thin one most of the time. And i do like the effect actually haha.

It has an aluminum center drive shaft, aluminum universal drive shafts on all 4 corners, a fireball modified 17T motor, Futaba MC330CR ESC, and a HiTec radio system. the tires are stock, but wrapped in electrical tape. and the neon is all custom. I used LEDs from christmas tree lights and nightlights, and a wiring harness that I made. the lights all run off a 6-cell helicopter rechargeable battery, very cheap AAA-size cells.

hm hmmm, nice try, but it's fully upgraded, ball bearings and machined aluminum all around. your 4-tec was made to go that fast. mine wasn't, but I made it. Let me see your drifting and your custom neon. go ahead. i bet you have stock bodies on all of yours, because all you do is buy cars that will go that fast out of the box, whether it's RTR or a kit. Mine required hop-ups. I'm sure you've heard of them. I took a "toy" and put $500 of aftermarket and custom parts into it.

I made them.

the two in back are blue christmas LEDs with reflectors on them, and the two in front are actually green LEDs from a nightlight. I connected them to a 6-cell AA rechargable battery, but it took a lot of complicated wiring to get it all in the right places.

I'm running the stock tires (street tires with tread) but I covered them with black electrical tape. For indoors, you only need to go around 2 or 3 times with the tape, but for street drifting you need at least 5 or 6 because it wears off faster. indoors, it virtually never comes off.

yeah, they are, but they are dedicated drift tires, you can't use them for normal driving. If you're going to drift outdoors, but the extra set of rims and some pvc tires. if you're only drifting indoors, i would just use the electrical tape. then you can take it off if you want to drive normally.
