  • mkaskavitch: The source of this interferences must be very, very close! Even in your house. Check up every electrical home gear and instalations. It sounds like continuous sparking. Interesting, but reason must be prosaic, I think so. Greet's, 73! (sorry for my poor english)

    im short on space (can just get a 60 foot wire in the yard but i think thats too short) and the neighbors dont want to see a mast.

  • Had this same noise for years when I was a kid. It was caused by a spark gap in the home oil burner. It can be easily found with an AM radio, but tough to clean up.
