This is just too friggin' kewl! I LOVE IT! You made amazing and COMPLETE use of space->decor->style->function of all the aforementioned combined. And also, just as you have for me, you have given near most everyone watching TONS of ideas! Thank you for sharing =) THUMBS UP!
Wow, you did a fantastic job! I actually watched this video a few times to get some ideas for my new place :D
I'm liking the Polks, is that sub the Series PSW505? I just got two for my system and am wondering how they perform. Drop by my page and check out my last setup some time!
I have heard of butt warmers.... but that is crazy!!! you know that's a fire hazard!! your putting wires underneath an old ass sofa!! Once it gets warm it " light it up!!" if it comes contact with those metal springs your outta luck!!!
very nice man! please check out my apartment hometheater setup. I wasn't able to do a projector because the size of the living room is tiny so I went with a Nice LED tv instead. Check out my most recent video because I update all the time. Again very nice. Are the speakers PolK?
I like what you did with the room, I bet you get amazing sound levels in those seats. The only thing I would suggest is to rig up some remote opperated curtains for the screen so when you press play the screens open up. That's what I hope to do when I get a new place. Great job though love what you did. How long did it take you to position everything and run all the wires?
man you must loooooove movies, don't you? My wife would probably shop my dick off if I attempted something like that in our living room, nice job dude
I originally had those LED lights lining my couches so it would kinda resemble lighting at a public theater. But then I didn't enjoy having more wires on my floor and decided to flush it against my screen. I don't turn them on when watching anything on my projector since the less light the better! :)
Thanks for the comment! I can't remember what type of wood. I remember choosing the cheapest kind which turned out to be heaviest which I didn't quite enjoy but at least I saved money! :)
None of the wires are in the walls. If you look closely, they're tan colored wires (for the speakers) running along the edges of the walls, floors, around the screen. All of the wires from equipment in the entertainment center are behind the console with some behind the couch. :)
Very nice theater, looks really good for a DIYer. I'm looking to put a projector setup in my basement, I'm really stumped on how to mount the 100" screen I plan to put in, I want to keep my current tv which is a 56" DLP and have the screen come down in front of it. That would mean that it would have to hang from the ceiling, but I don't think the ceiling can hold the weight. Last resort is getting a flat panel tv, I think that is what I may have to do.
I've seen people with rear projector DLPs make a wall surrounding the screen so that it's not sticking out :). Well hopefully you can find a beams to mount the screen. A flat planel is good too! If you're looking for 3D - the LCDs capable of 3D are not up to par yet. ;)
I mean I will have to get a flat panel to replace the DLP. This way I can wall mount the flat panel and then have the projector screen drop down in front of it.
Man THiS IS GREat! Who says u can't live in an apt and have a home theater!? Eh might be murder on the neighbors, but so what LOL! Have fun and enjoy, thanx for the upload.

Is ambient lighting around the screen necessary? Isnt it to protect ur eyes from damage or is there another thing to it?

nice setup and nice way to occupy a small space, having the projector definitely saves space which is way it stills seems spacious and very cozy

I love it cause its cozy in a good way, for some reason I love small spaces. and it would kinda suck in my opinion if there was all this open space.
