All this "in love with Jesus" talk is creepy. "In love" implies romantic (i.e. sexual) love. Why do Christians speak this way? Does this guy say he's in love with his mother or father? He's very gay for Jesus.
@TheSinisterKitty When he is talking about love he isn't talking about sexual love because that is love for a husband and wife. He is talking about a love that is like I want to be with this person forever, I want to spend every second with this person, and I would die for this person. Like you mentioned about parents, your love for your parents is a different love than it would be for a man or woman. You love your parents because they care for you, and love you despite your flaws, not sexually.
There is definitely different kinds of love. I love a lot of people! I love my friends, and my family, and Jesus. None of those loves are a lustful love. I love my friends and family and I would die for them, but it's not a lustful love.
The difference is those people you speak of in the 1940's were condemning others by way of their own initiative and personal authority. Christians aren't condemning anybody. We are the messengers. ' For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned ALREADY because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son'. God's authority vs man's authori
In the 1940s there were people who said “it is right that people different than us be sent to the ovens and tortured”. The people who believed this were fascists and anti-Semites. Today many people say “it is right that people different than us be sent to the ovens of hell and tortured”. The people who say this are Christians. Most Germans didn’t personally kill Jews. Today most Christians don’t personally torture anyone, they just think that God is righteous for doing so.
i just watched that clip again. Anyone could be satisfied in a world where you have everything you want and everything is perfect and there is no sin, but there would have to be Jesus for that to happen anyways :)
