There were 2 versions of the JP project. The best thing Joe ever did was hire Charlie Farren, one of the best singers out of Boston, an incredible lineup! After they parted ways, Joe hired Mach Bell, a screamer who couldn't tie Charlies shoes...With Charlie gone, he also lost a solid rhythm guitarist as Mach Bell only sang. I saw this lineup and quite honestly Joe's not a great "trio" style guitarist, he shines more with a 2nd ax man like Brad Whitford. He's at his best with Steve Tyler.
Man i realy loved this album althogh i realy was bummed i wanted aerosmith back toghether but between this n rock in a hard place i was kind of gettin it.
I am fan of both, and I read once in an interview of EVH (GW) that he felt that JP didn't like him for some reason (he was "snubbed")...I really don't know who to believe. Anyway, as players I respect them both.
read the same thing.. I saw aerosmith in 1990 on the pump tour and read in the morning paper that day an interview.. Perry was like "I may not have had CLASSICAL training like Eddie but." Something to that effect.. I was like, "YOURE JOE FN PERRY!!! YOU ROCK ! get over it..
They both come from different backgrounds and ROCK in their own very different ways. I have ROCKS and VH-1 on my car CD player and they are both mainstays. Joe is much, much underrated. Eddie came out like a flash out of nowhere when Aero was down and out. Then Aero came back with a vengeance. So its' fair and square!
What the fuck is wrong with you spammers? Do you get some disturbed sexual satisfaction for posting those messages? You seem to be all over YouTube. Still, good video and song.
I saw JPP 5 times on Long Island in its various incarnations. They were all great! This brings back memories! Never saw a bootleg, though. Sure would like to!!!
WOW!...Great vid!...Too bad the total quality sucks...I loved Joe when he was on his own...Too bad he went back to Aerosmith to write sappy love ballads. Joe's Stuff was better than ANYTHING Aerosmith put out after 1984!
Want to trade bootlegs? I have several other artists around the time of Joe Perry Project on DVD. I'd love to see the I've Got the Rock and Rolls Again tour.
I know these guys! . . . What a band!
