  • hrm... not impressed

  • yes, I also think it's a camera dolly to the left, and the room(s) are just flattened out and designed to give the spinning effect. If the camera was spinning, there would be noticeable perspective shifts when an object 'moves' from the left to the right side of the picture. Most noticeable on the floor's lines.

  • Yeah! The whole thing is in minature. You see the TV is like a screen for a reversing camera. Its pure genius how they managed to do it though.

  • hahaha it took two Spins around the room before I noticed! Sooo clever!

  • Every time I got to the red portion of the room, it felt as if the furniture began to disappear. .44,

  • I think it's only a camera travelling to the left. The set was built in order to create the spinning effetc.

  • Spiral?

  • are all the objects really small?

is it like a dolls house

  • The whole installation will be displayed at the British Film Institute in London, September 2008. It's gonna be BIG!

  • It IS constant time. Try another guess ;-)

(I'm the one who produced it and showed it first)

  • How it's done? The usual Gondry / Bismuth way: no special effect, at least not digital...

  • this is terrifying.

  • hehe i like it, except its all choppy.

  • wow. The room is spinng. just like at home

  • David Copperfield? Ha! THIS is real magic, magic for the XXIth century. How the hell does he make these things?

  • After seeing it there is an optical effect. Everything seems to move to the left!

By the way, is it made in 3D?

  • amazing, I'm big fan of gondry, in fact my thesis was on his work, but never before saw the installation, just great, thank you!

  • I reccckon cus its a constant motion camera therers no reason it couldnt pause recording (and motion) and then swap shit about, the tv fools you into thinking its constant time so that is the only segment that has to be constant time and motion. I may be wrong of course! however i do love that dreamy quality he always delivers!

  • That was really cool! I liked how the clip from Spotless matched up the the disappearance of items in the room.

  • strange
