Don't be fooled - fantasy, romance, action, battles have nothing to do with PLOT - this is just another simple conquering cowboys vs. the earthy indian story transplanted to a future planet. There were moments I thought I was watching a Disney film. Look If uncomplicated plots and visual effects is your thing (maybe you are a Gamer) then so be it. But I remember when Cameron used to write very intricate storylines and the effects were a bonus. Try talkin' bout AVATAR with mentioning the EFX

Honestly people who say this movie had a weak story didn't watch the same movie I did.
You didn't know where it was going to go, and it had you on the edge of your seat. There was plenty of dialogue, yes some of the characters were shallow and not dynamic, but they didn't have to be. You didn't have to know much about them.
It wasn't just a feast for the eyes, the plot had a bit of everything, fantasy, romance, action, emotional battles (Jake Sully's changing view and video diaries.) etc.

ur fagyy ugly loser nerd who sits at his moms house and rtaes movies. this story wasnt crap it was great. its just that now adays there is no such thing as a good movie everytime u ask somebody if the movie was good " eh it was ok" like they expect the movie to be so perfect or the comedy so funny that they shit their pants. MOVIES DONT GET BETTER THAN THIS ONE.
