I want a White Water, but am looking at doing a total restore of a turd condition one. I have totally over hauled a WCS before, with playfield swap and all. Would you say this one would be pretty hard to do, compared to other pins? In other words, just how involved and confusing is the playfield parts for swapping?
@SkippyChurch Hmm. I honestly don't know what to say. Ha ha. This one is pretty complex up top, not too bad underneath. But, I'm not a master of "playfield swapping". I don't particularly like it. Ha ha!
i remember playing this table 1995 my 1st contact whist white water as a kid my impressions was WOW jumping ramps, rotating big foot.... but all my games was short, really hard and fast table, but i like it. so my older brother decided to by this table, so i was the most happiest kid in the planet :D so i continue playing and playing... til we buy a new machine (Indiana Jones) yes i know Indiana Jones is a great table on of my top 5 best tables ever....but White Water is my 1st in collection :D
@steveteddy555 Honest, I have never really figured out the hours it takes. I shot ALL the footage for these pin vids in FOUR total days. Which was crazy to think about. But, the editing takes a while.....I try to get them "watchable" (even with me in it, ha ha). Thanks for watching!
I remember first playing this pinball machine at a Lazer Tag in Sarnia, Ontario back in 2001 or 2002. The first things that caught my attention were the Insanity Falls ramp and Bigfoot's face.
It kicked my ass. My game only lasted about 4 minutes.
When i was 13 in 1993, my parents and me went to Euro-Disney Paris. I played this machine for my first time there and i loved it. It was very late and my parents wanted to go. So i only could play 2 Games (6 Balls). So i swore to buy this pinballmachine when i´m old enough. Since to years i found a very well preserved white water. :-) But it germany pinballmachines are expensive. I paid 4.300 US $. I have it converted to leds. Looks very good and my dream came true! Jabadabadoo.
just got back from the 2011 Michigan Pinball Expo, never played pinball very much as a kid but a friend and I had the greatest time playing all the games until we found this machine and it soaked are last two hours at the expo. It was by far my favorite game we played. Thanks for the nice review of the machine
@tommie334 Ha! Excellent. If you learn the rules in this one, it can keep your attention for a looong time. I am glad you enjoyed it! I will probably be going to the Allentown (Pinfest) show in May. Hoping they have it there since I haven't played my games in SOOO long. Ha ha.
COOL! This looks like so much fun! I've never seen this one but, the way it looks and the way you describe it makes me want to play it and also makes me miss the fun of arcades back in the day when pinball machines were still popular in the game rooms and all of the sounds of the arcade were mingled and you'd get that tingling feeling of excitement just as you were about to walk in followed by that feeling of being home in your own world. I miss all of that so much!
Man i`m really considering to buy this one and your vid almost convinced me. I only have room for one machine so it has got to be the right one. I loved this one back in the days but am kinda afraid that it needs above average maintenance. Is that correct ? Thanks and big up for the cool vid.
@hmmmmmmmmus Just make sure the work is done "thorough" and you'll be fine. I've had mine since 2002 and, aside from general cleaning, have never had an issue. :)
Chris how hard would it be to get an old White Water that's been sitting in a shop for several years going again? I heard it's important to keep it it clean because of the optical sensors and upper playfield.
@spida1a My topper is the same as yours, big bubble in the center of the foil. To bad a good shape one is like 600 bucks, like the one going on ebay right now.
@dylboy1800 Oh wow...I guarantee that one didn't sell if someone was asking that much. There isn't a pinball that goes for 50 grand. You can usually find them for a couple or so (this particular game I could sell for probably...oh...$1700+...of course, that is after I spent hours and hours working on it). But, it's a collector's market...it all depends on the game, condition, rarity, years, etc. Ya' know?
@dylboy1800 OH dude....I wish they were 50k each! I hate to say it...as much as I love my games...they would all be sold and I'd be on an island right now! ha ha. :)
Hope nothing serious with your hospital stay Chris. Hope you get to feeling better. Don't sell any of your pins, just donate some blood or force us to pay donations to watch your vids. :o)

I've never actually PLAYED a White Water. In my basement, I could barely fit a fish tales topper... I had to have the playfield at too low of a tilt, and the ball moved too slowly. Wow a pinball collection?! Honestly, something I have never seen before haha! And you know, I haven't seen a pinball machine in an arcade in a LONG time ._.;
